Russian Invasion of Ukraine 2022

Well the new rumor here is that there's 1500 Romanian mercenaries in Ukraine including within Mariupol.

Unsure if they belong to the same unit that had fifty Polish mercenaries killed in it one day... reportedly... 😏

Keeping in mind Romanians are a not insignificant minority in Ukraine already.

Plus there has been a social media post or a few of Moldovan Volunteers.

From what we have seen so far, likely crew negligence handling ammo, just like the Saratov in Berdyiansk which is a double embarrassment for Russia and Ukraine in that Russia still can't seem to get to banning smoking in their Navy and Ukraine for not having a Navy willing and able to slug it out with the flag nailed to the masts.

Only other explanation is she hit a free floating mine. In which case, shit happens. If you build warships, you risk losing them and they should at least go down fighting with the flag flying. 'Looks at the UkA Surface Fleet which meekly died in port with whimpers.'

In any event since the Captain is still alive along with 4 out of 8 "killed Generals," no doubt he is being worked over by the Admiralty as to what happened.

It was a missile, probably more than one. Over on one of the warship forums they took a good look and worked out a few things. First missiles of that type home in on the biggest radar signature which on most ships is the funnel, on the Moskva images you can see impact damage partially submerged under the funnel exactly where an ASM would automatically aim for.

You can also see that while the main SAM radar is still stowed the point defence weapons are pointing outwards suggesting the crew did at least try to shoot down the missiles with their close in weapons. A drifting mine or ammo accident wouldn't match with a CIWS activation.

The ship is unlucky in having three fairly large open spaces in proximity. Two for machinery under the funnel and one for its long range SAMs. The impact marks track well with the machinery spaces, flooding there would kill propulsion and cause heavy listing. If the fire was amidships and there was a small ammo detonation (Likely the CIWS which is directly above the impacts) then the Captain may have wanted to stop it spreading to the main SAMs which would cause flooding to that bay further hurting buoyancy.

Most likely the crew was engaged by ASMs, due to bad weather they didn't spot them in time to use their best SAMs but did try to engage with close range defenses. They missed, the missiles knocked out and flooded the machinery spaces and may have triggered a CIWS ammo detonation. To stop the fire spreading to the adjacent main SAM bay the crew pumped in water as part of the firefighting effort further exasperating the flooding. With its three biggest compartments filling with water compartmentalisation would be of reduced value, and further fighting the fire would have caused even more flooding to the already unstable ship. The crew leaves.

Could a better crew have saved the ship? Maybe, but in fairness the design and age of the ship was working against them. These weren't top tier ships even when new and with its biggest compartments filling with water and a serious fire I don't think there is much shame in getting the hell out.

Scorched Earth Tactics... Ukrainian Millionaire asks Ukrainian Armed Forces to Blow Up his Own Newly Built Mansion when Russians occupied it and Deployed Artillery Units from his Property.

If it was me, after contacting the Ukrainian Military, I would've called my own home and begged the Russian occupiers to please leave the house. In exchange I would reveal the secret way to access the mansions private vault filled with my gold reserves which can only be found via hidden clues scattered throughout the manor. Tell your friends. The quicker you leave, the better. :sneaky:

And to quash any rumors about Russia's recent ICBM tests or at least putting it into context.

Also Biden announces another round of aid, this time worth $800 million dollars.

Seventy two howitzers plus the vehicles to tow them, as well as 144,000 rounds of artillery ammunition. Also in this round of aid is 121 Phoenix Ghost Tactical Drones (reportedly similar to the Switchblade ones). This includes spare parts and other bits and bobs as well. This also confirms that the Biden Administration is in fact going to send Ukraine those MI-17 Helicopters (originally destined for Afghanistan) to Ukraine now after apparent waffling on that issue. The howitzers are in addition to the eighteen pledges earlier, bringing the current total to ninety guns.

Prime Ministers of Spain and Denmark visited Kyiv.

Also in spite of the Siege, there is VICIOUS fighting taking place as you can tell from these harrowing combat videos from Chechnya's TikTok Battalion.

It might look like the Chechens are firing high but that's actually plunging or indirect fire which is highly effective (no pun intended) in raining devastation down upon the defenders in those narrow defiles and stuff. *nods*

A tank turret has been relocated to the 5th floor of a building in Mariupol. The crew is likely unharmed, safely ejected from the vehicle since Russian tank turrets are designed as basically a giant explosive panel/ejection seat.

Two Russian Howitzers were reportedly destroyed by Ukrainian artillery earlier today in fighting in the Kharkov Oblast.

So:
1.Donetsk is liberated from ukrainians
2.Ukrainians have no artillery
3.Azowstal captured, ukrainians could surrender or die.You say, that russia do not take prisoners there, right?
4.Schools in Mariunpol open, children would learn about heroes and martyrs of WW2.
5.Two ukrainian cities liberated from ukrainians.

WHO TEACH YOU LOGIC? HOW COULD YOU LIBERATE UKRAINIAN CITIES FROM UKRAINIANS?
and,let assume, that it is all true.
Why your idols do not win,if ukrainians have no artillery?
Why they need to fight at all,if they come as liberators?
And about chidren - they survived bombs from russians, not ukrainians.Their loved ones was murdered by russian, not ukrainians.Few year old would forget, but any older would hate russia for rest of their lives.
Just like polish children which survived soviets hated soviets till they die,and teach their children to hate soviets, too.

Remember - they are children of free people, they would not love your masters becouse they destroyed their homes and killed friends.

Anyway,it is nice that putin do not kill you yet.Made more posts, they are funny.
P.S Here - Putin rewarded butchers of Bucha as heroes. And is sending them to die.Well, every nation have heroes they deserved.
Here:

And it is actually good. Now everybody see, that for russia heroism mean murdering, raping and stealing.

Well, if this is true, this is awful. But I don't think it is likely to pass. Maybe I am giving people, especially those in a situation like that of Russia too much benefit of the doubt, but it just seems too outlandish and insane.

Though if this is true, and this does pass. It is yet more egg in the face of those who persist in the Ukrainian Nazis narrative- given who forced prisoners, including those from occupied areas to give blood. I mean the Russians are already kidnapping Ukrainian children...I am sure our Polish members will get where I am going with this.

A bunch of food processing plants in the USA have experienced strange fires and explosions.

According to TASS, the fire at the Aerospace Defense Research Institute in Tver was caused by faulty electrical wiring. Six people were killed and over twenty wounded reportedly. Several individuals were apparently witnessed leaping from the buildings windows in an attempt to escape the blaze. Some state that S-500 and Iskander development takes place within this facility among many other projects.

The Dmitrievsky Chemical Plant located in Kineshma, actually 250 miles east of Moscow was the second reported blaze of the day. The cause of this fire as well as casualties are unknown. The facility is 'reportedly' a large or the largest producer of industrial solvents in Russia amongst other chemicals and petrochemicals.

The reason why Russia isn't just bombing the Mariupol defenders out seems to be that they can't.

Just send in the Chechens... they've barely suffered any casualties in weeks of intense urban combat, have high morale and as we all know, are natural fighters in urban hellscapes. The videos that'll be released will also undoubtedly be invaluable for propaganda purposes!

Destroy and Purge as Putin Commands!
