Are you perhaps confusing genocidal with incompetent?
I hate to break it to you but Stalin and Hitler were competent people.
They were not nice people, but they were not incompetent.
Attrition is a thing too.
wait... "with no organized resistance from other nations"... so...
you are flat out excluding cases of their targets allying against their aggression?
even thought literally my entire point was that Russia's neighbors allied against it right now because they know they are next?
Thus USA is not required and this is not cold war 2.0.
Just a would be imperialist finding out their neighbors don't want to get conqured.
Actually both Stalin and Hitler were militarily incompetent.
Stalin provided massive amounts of war material to his soon to be main enemy after that very same enemy explicitly stated that all slavs must be exterminated as subhumans and all communists destroyed.
Both he and Hitler micromanaged and purged the military of some of its most competent generals to put their favorite bootlickers and hangers on in positions of power, why don't you check out the biographies of Zhukov and Rokosovski, and how Stalin purged his army just before the invasion of the USSR started. An invasion for which he was warned by his intelligence services.
Also, his early attempts to micromanage the military and stuff like the "no step back" decree decreased their war efficiency.
Hitler was an even bigger disaster.
As to the current conflict, well, the west goaded the Russians into it and ther is plain to see.
They sabotaged the Minsk process and they did regime change in Ukraine.
As to Ukraine, it did not exist as anything prior to the end of WWI and it is made up of land thst is either historically Russian, part of the old Kievan Rus, not that there is much distinction, and that the Russians bled for and controlled for hundreds of years.
The Donbass itself has been culturally and ethnically Russian as well as anti-Euromaidan and Kiev's anti-Russian actions led to this whole thing starting.
As to the hypocritical warpiggy chickenhawk Pole you are arguing with, well, he has his own axe to grind with the Russians(I wonder how big of a hutor his grandpa had) and his own expansionist fantasies to salivate over, but since he and his fellows can't go against Russia directly they desperately need to drag anyone into this on the anti-Russia side.
