Problem; I don’t think the Democrats are going to run Biden. They’ll go with someone else that will pull in more Democrat votes. Meanwhile, the support of independents and a handful of Republicans will be split between Trump and RFK.

The problem with this analysis is that from Joe's perspective, he has to win to prevent being thrown in jail (if not him, then certainly Hunter Biden) for corruption and money laundering charges. He can't shuffle gracefully off to retirement in Delaware.

The other problem with this is the Dems don't have a clear savior waiting in the wings between the bulk of their leadership being one step from the nursing home and looking it (Warren, Sanders, Pelosi, Schumer, Biden, etc.) and the fact that they put a token uncharasmatic minority as VP -- who polls worse than Biden. The only way to get someone other than Harris or Biden to run is to elbow Harris aside... and tossing a black woman aside for an old white man (be it Gavin Newsome or the like) would be terrible optics among groups that they need to turn out (women, black,s the intersectionality/woke bunch). especially after they did their ethnic tokenism to replace the late Diane Feinstein with a black woman.

Despite my previous posts and retraction of my prediction that he will hurt Trump worse, it looks like in recent polls, he is indeed hurting Trump worse, pulling votes from Trump at a 2:1 ratio.
