Meme Thread for Both Posting and Discussing Memes

Depends which era of South African history you are asking about. Ever since Union in 1910, there have been people trying to make things fair for everyone, and other people with a basic line of "our people must come first, screw everyone else!"
And that's on all ethnic sides.
Well, it's all about "Black people first for everything, even if they're clueless morons!" now in SA, isn't it? And your country is literally falling apart into a failed state. :(

I recall a lot of ethno rhetoric from South Africa, but I'm pretty sure in practice it was tribalism all the way down. I could be wrong though, maybe they tried to follow through at the start?
Djoubuti, IIRC; basically the North Korea of Africa and effectively run in a facist manner.

It's just everybody with meaningful navies puts bases there due to where the country sits, and thus it's a facist regime that we just quietly keep out of the news as much as possible.

Pretty mind-blowing, too, yeah.

Come to think of it: Millennials in general are aging out now, with those on the older end of the spectrum (read: the '80s babies) officially entering their forties now. If that's not enough, it looks like Zoomers are displacing them as the "Kooky new kid on the bloc!" generation that hasn't come of age yet.

Yep! Born in '88, 35 in 20 days.

...I feel the saddies now. :(

One more year closer to the Reaper at the unknown finish line. :ROFLMAO:

Comes for all of us eventually, I suppose.

Being a Zoomer myself, the thought's still a pretty "distant" one for now. That said... I'm sure I'll feel differently once Gen Alpha starts hitting its stride in the next 10 to 15 years, so that'll be "fun" to contemplate once I'm your age.

I mean, if the tech still kills and wins wars does it matter?
Yes. Everything that does not make the military more effective is a waste of taxpayer funds. Wasting your soldiers time in training on DEI initiatives instead of making them more effective will get them and their brothers in arms killed. Any company that actually implements the ESG will become a less efficient less capable company to source equipment from and need more government money to prop them up while giving less.

It is a cancer. It steals resources from healthy organizations and will kill the country in a slow painful death.

The companies still produce the equipment which has proven to he superior to that of our adversaries.
That's what matters.
Do i agree with DEI and ESG? No, but if the companies produce the shit that kills our enemies, I don't care what the internal practices are

Then you accept the cancer and slow death so we can avoid pain in the short term. It is a fair stance to take. I disagree. This shit will one metastasize the longer you leave it alone.

This.

Wokeness is cancer. It will rot and destroy smaller companies, bring giants to their knees and make them sickly, or at worst parasitize and puppetize them like Cordyceps.

Stamp it out when you can.
