Well, well. This is a surprise.
Also surprised that the US Army is smaller than that being fielded by its enemies, since it should be able to mobilize more people, but then the story mentioned that the NCR was lowering the age of conscription to 17. I'm assuming that, were this Hearts of Iron 4, the USA would still be on Volunteer Only while the NCR is already on Extensive Conscription.
Speaking of . . . Nice to see elements of the Republic of the Rio Grande. Even if they aren't taken whole cloth, they were the most interesting Mexican faction in the Old World Blues mod.
And since people are talking about it . . . I imagine one of the issues with converting those ridiculously huge oil tankers into warships is that it's time and effort that could have been directed toward building more practical ships. Because they sound like boondoggles that are going to result in the NCR losing the naval war. And if that happens, it's going to be hard to ferry those hundreds of thousands of Colombians and Chinese. (Even if they sound like cannon fodder judging by the US slapping the Colombians down previously.)
To answer some stuff I've seen mentioned in this thread . . .
Not sure if the Panama Canal has been repaired or is in use. Especially with proximity to Gran Colombia. But in this story there is more than one canal. I believe the US has mostly been using the Nicaragua Canal, which the Pre-Apocalypse US dug with nukes.
And for those who missed the preceding stories . . . The POD for this story is the Lone Wanderer successfully joining the Enclave and acting on Autumn's behalf during the events of Fallout 3. The first story had the Enclave as envisioned by Autumn replacing the Brotherhood of Steel for the events of Fallout 4 and built on things from there.
Anyways, for shits and giggles I decided to attempt to update my own map for this story. I think the Rio Grande is mostly correct, though I'm basically guessing for Gran Colombia and the Third Mexican Empire.
And it's looking like I'm going to need to start using a bigger map now that nations outside of North America have started becoming relevant.
