Severely weighted towards the military. Civilians in BOS territory live similarly to the 1930s under a technocratic feudal oligarchy which believes it's the only organisation in the world with the wisdom and moral authority to use "advanced" (such being inconsistently and loosely defined) technology safely.

Anyway, Europe (working on the Pacific right now, the ocean borders the basemap I'm using has are bloody annoying):

Most of Eastern and Southern Europe is military dictatorships, Germany and Britain are constitutional monarchies with democracy and a good degree of protection for personal freedoms. The Soviets are Communist in name only with a healthy capitalist economy but few personal liberties.

The different colours of light green represent city-state/village/nomad/tribal-level organisation vs uninhabited territory.

I'd imagine the bunkers aren't as useful as they used to be. Like, the bunkers were the only reason the Western Brotherhood managed to hold out as long as it did against the NCR. But for the most part the NCR just had infantry.

With the way everything has been developing, the Midwestern Brotherhood is almost certainly going to face a rude awakening in the form of bunker busters. And I don't even want to think about how nasty they'd be with Fallout SCIENCE! to give them a boost.

It's just the thing you have to deal with when people have air forces again.

Also . . . Huh . . . Surprised by the apparent existence of Switzerland. Could have sworn it got gobbled up along with Austria when the German Empire had to kick the shit out of some Neo Nazis.

And holy shit, Greece. Where did you get the balls to conquer Bulgaria? Unless it's the other way around. Hmm.
 
The Enclave used GECKS to repair the damage done to the wastelands they took over, right?

So what about the NCR? I imagine they will be shocked at the amount of fertile non irradiated land everywhere they go in Enclave territory

I am going with the headcanon that the Swiss in this timeline went even further into fortifications than the OTL. Thus by this point in time Switzerland is neutral kingdom of mountain bunker-cities no one can spare the forces to conquer.

Some of it might have recovered on it's own. Remember "Harold" the tree man in falliut 3 One of the options for the quest was making his nature spread. If that happened in this timeline the land would repair itself given time.
 
You know, that just reminded me, what happened to the Ghouls and Super Mutants?

I recall that the Lone Wanderer may have convinced Autumn to leave the first alone even when the wastelander population didn’t like them

The Ghouls are forced to live in their own settlements in US territory, officially for protection. American Government is researching possible cures. Super Mutants were purged, with individual exceptions.

The NCR officially doesn't care if your a mutant or not, that however is an ideal. Depends on where in the NCR.

With caps they offered to conversion to US currency and only accepted said currency in stores to encourage the change over. As long as the exchange rate is not too imbalanced they should be able to do the same elsewhere.
 
Ah, what I meant with Switzerland, SuperHeavy, was that when it previously came up the Neo Nazis controlled Switzerland, Austria, and parts of Southern Germany.

The German Empire basically controlled the rest of Germany. Then the United States helped them kick the shit out of the Neo Nazis, so I figured all of Switzerland would have been gobbled up.

On the Ghoul front . . . I'm someone who has repeatedly argued that the United States would quietly purge them. While how long they last varies, all Ghouls eventually go Feral. It's just easier to get rid of ticking time bombs that no one really even likes. But I've always thought that even an Enclave that accepted Wasteland Humans wouldn't even dream of accepting the people that look like zombies. (For some reason a lot of people like to think they'd instantly switch over to modern liberal ideals.)

And finally . . . I guess it depends on the currency, but the Enclave basically ruins their economy. Like, places that use bottle caps. The Enclave manufactures a shitload of "counterfeit" Caps, floods the market with them to make US Dollars more attractive, then has a "generous" conversion rate for people who agree to be annexed into the United States.

That might be an oversimplification. I'd have to track down the update that goes into detail. But yeah. Economic ruination is one of the tools they use to annex more territory.

If you agree to be annexed before it gets that far, then, yes, you get to skip straight to the generous conversion of your currency into US Dollars.
 
It goes hand-in-hand with the revival of the Nuka-Cola Corporation, which happened pretty early on with the main bottling plant being right in DC.

1. Make large amounts of fresh nuka-cola for morale and jobs purpose.
2. Use the spare bottlecaps to buy mercenaries, enact bribes, etc.
3. Then, when you've done that, launch the hyper-inflation plan. In addition to the "organic" nuka-cola caps being pumped into the system from purchases, have some extra machines running whose sole purpose is to pump out caps. Deliberately flood these into the system to promote USD as a legitimate currency and destroy the economies of city-states who won't play ball.

Basically, I retconned that. Now it's only a relatively small region consisting of northern Bavaria, hence why they were called the Nuremberg regime.

I can't imagine the Middle East is anything but a war ravaged wasteland after the oil ran out and they had nothing else to keep the economy running. They probably weren't nuked given that they lack resources or relevance but civil collapse can do just as much damage.
