Unless you have an overwhelming technical or numerical superiority, putting warships into enclosed waters is a bad idea. Some idiot journo or internet admiral most probably thought it a good idea.

It more than a stone's throw from the Dnepr liman (estuary) to the Perekop (istmuth) or Sivash (shallow wetlands) which separate Crimea from the "mainland", hence it is a certain jump from "crossing the Dnepr" to "invading Crimea".
I know. They however boasted their ships and men would prevent a crossing. Russian hyperbole notwithstanding.

This is what has occurred that OSINT has gotten to so far.

Ukraine has crossed the Dnepr, conducted an amphibious landing in the esturary.

Also, to the north, the Ukrainian's have retaken another village near Svatove, so it's another multi-axis advance.

UKR forces won't stop till Russia is fully expelled from Ukrainian soil, and momentum is on their side.

Past the Dneiper there are not many good natural barriers for Ru forces to take cover in, and Ukraine isn't going to stop fighting here, as it is warmed than in the north.

Crimea is likely going to see it's 'land-bridge' cut in the not to distant future, leaving only the partially intact bits of the Kerch bridge to supply the peninsula by rail or truck.

Crimea can be supplied by ship, no?
Not enough. It's why Putin expended so much treasure and political capital to fast track the bridge and rail. The Russians were having to devote a considerable and ever increasing portion of their decrepit merchant marine to run the supplies into Crimea day and night. With limited cargo docks and infrastructure they were constantly on water and fuel oil shortages and rationing since 2014. Especially as Ukrainian partisans made sure to sabotage as much infrastructure as they could when the Russians started oppression campaigns on the residents of Crimea.

Honestly, what the hell did they think would happen when they turned Ukrainians into Untouchables and Indentured Workers. On their own soil much less. The Soviets(original term meaning village/community council/gathering in Imperial Russia) rebelled for the same reason. The Russians should have remembered their own history. Fucking assholes!

We've got Stalin and Hitler's Abomination of a bastard child in Putin in Russia and Mao 3.0 but thinner skinned in China.

If you've ever posted anti CCP statements under your real name online don't fly through China. They just sentenced a Portuguese journalist under the Hong Kong National Security Act for sedition and inciting rebellion. For publishing UN Human Rights Tribunal findings on China and Xinjiang. The poor bastard's plane stopped in Hong Kong they came on board and dragged him off. Just like Lukashenko did on that Greek Airlines passenger in 2019.

The journalist made the mistake of referring to Xi Jinping directly. I think that was what triggered the overt response.

It's just good advice in general to not deal with or go near the CCP or CCP controlled areas if you have ever badmouthed them.

Turns out Xinnie the Pooh has a fragile ego.

Well yes. But to be fair it was published in Portugal. In a local paper, for local people. He didn't expect it to be seen and reacted to in this manner. The last three predecessors just ignored outsiders. Laughed at any criticism. It seem Xi has self esteem and short man syndrome worse than Benito Mussolini and Mao combined. Gods damn. Mao was a hair trigger psychotic, lunatic but he had more self control than Xi.

Never. The CCP is too unified in keeping power. They will close ranks, to protect members. Sacrificing and scapegoating anyone they need to. Slaughtering as many people as they need to to stay in control. We supplied them with the Black Mirror tech shit they are using to control their people. Until that unity is broken, until that tech, and their myriad levers from brainwashing children to censoring and morality police(both actual police and informants) is destroyed they are going nowhere.

The more things stay the same wherever you go once you truly pissed off the ruling class.

2 Polish farmers were killed in their own field by a Russian missile from the latest barrage.

We may see Art 5 of NATO invoked in the near future.

""The Prime Minister
@MorawieckiM
called as a matter of urgency the Committee of the Council of Ministers for National Security and Defense Affairs.""

Probably fake news. Out of all things, a grain dryer? If it was a hospital, apartment building or electric substation, yeah, probably Russian. But a grain dryer, that shit sometimes explodes by itself.

The CEP of the munitions Russia seems to have used in it's latest barrage is something like 20km.

So they could aim at things near the border in Ukraine, but their accuracy is so shite they hit Poland.

However, they would know the CEP of these weapons, and know they risk hitting Poland or other nations if they use they on targets within that CEP of the border.

Most long range Russian munitions were meant to carry nukes, and a 20km CEP for an older Russian nuke was an 'acceaptable' accuracy.

I am of the opposite opinion. This looks like a legitimate incident of accidental shelling/missle strike because it hit something so stupid.

If this was a false flag by Glowniggers they would have probably targeted a civilian settlement on the border directly, or fired onto a school bus or something. Of the false flags that have been proved to be false by the CIA over the years we know that when they decide to fake something they tend to go for the biggest effect possible as to overide people's rational thought and get them demanding retribution they want. This is minor enough that while it will make the Polish mad it can be sorted over with some diplomacy.

He doesn't mean false flag.
More along the lines of "Reporting it as such to drum up response" because grain dryers explode
