Zach, come on, don't try to play dumb; the IC plays politics all the time and the military brass are more politicians than soldiers/sailors.

If Trump really did have the election stolen from him, and the IC has proof, the fact Biden is in the White House shows that the IC is political and partisan in it's current form.
What is the IC, some part of the US command structure?

Probably true,at least part of CIA and FBI.Still - they do not rule state, like KGB mafias in Russia. And even if they do so,they do not start wars on their own.
LBJ was the whip of the US senate, Bush Sr. was the chief of the CIA, both were good buddies with the people that owned and operated Halliburton.

Yers.Rich politicians using state and CIA for their own ends.Still better then KGB destroing Russia.

🤷‍♂️
They said they wanted status quo ante, which would be quite the opposite from negotiating seriously. Of course I don't think Zelensky can do that because of both internal and external pressure on him.

How ironic that the West's main lesson for Russia in Kosovo was that if you use force against a smaller neighbor, you could successfully bully this smaller neighbor to agree to your own peace terms.

Kosovo involved territorial losses for Serbia, though. Iraq didn't involve territorial losses for anyone.
It involved the US taking over the economy via corporations and installing a puppet regime. Territorial losses or not the US set all sorts of nasty precedents with moves like that. Of course during the Cold War that was relatively normal.
