So the farmer protests have failed then?
There are some hold-outs. Like five guys with a tractor and protest banner standing on a highway overpass for a few hours. Some upside-down flags are still around, but most are gone.

People used to attach the farmer's kerchief to their car as a sign of supporting the farmers. The ones that you still see are now just muddy, rained-out rags. That tells the entire story, in a way.

Things fade quickly here. Like the fishermen's protests, or the farmers' protests, or the anger about gas field's problems in Groningen, or the subsidies scandal, or the COVID-19 government lies scandal (where Rutte himself "had sadly lost his old phone with the supposedly incriminating texts on it" and "had no active memory" of any of it)... or any of a dozen other things that have been the "big issue" in the last few years, and then just... faded out.

The Netherlands could be considered as the perfect model of the "news cycle society", well-programmed by the 20:00 evening broadcast of the state news agency. This keeps people from getting agitated. It also prevents them from getting passionate about anything.
That is world future,if leftist win.
I hope, that it is still hope at least for Poland.Becouse your country need more then one miracle to survive.

Is the invasion of Ukraine "Russia fighting off NATO aggression" in Russian media already?
Oh, the Ruskies have been playing that line for a while, and at this point even Serbia and Iran do not recognize their claims to Ukrainian soil.

So all the Russians propaganda efforts aboard have more or less fallen flat.

We basically spent 50 years trying to get rid of German agression I don't think we're allowed to complain about German pacifism
Scholtz and the outgoing MinDef were former East Germans, and well, they grew up on the other side of the wall.

Do not underestimate how much effort Russia has put into making it so most Germans would rather roll over for the commies and Russian instead of oppose them.

I know that it was team CDU/CSU+SPD effert, yet nevertheless I think that most of the blame for the destruction of the Budeswehr lays with the former CDU Bundeskanzlerrin.

Yup, most of the German political class acts as if Moscow was its first employer ...

Can you go into more detail on this somewhere?

Interesting. Russia is working to demilitarize Ukraine, and the USA is working to demilitarise Europe.
Uh..you do know the US is helping to demilitaroze Russia.
And no, no country in Europe besides Baltic states have given majority of thier weapons.

I googled
merkel and the destruction of german army
and this was in the first half dozen hits:

I guess I was more curious about how the Budeswehr was destroyed, though this at least lets me know who exactly you were referring to.
