What dramatics. She's still a victim. She'll always be a victim. She's being victimized by a past over a century and a half ago that has no bearing on her life now and her victimimhood is being embraced by the half of the country that wants to destroy its historical icons for being too problematic.
She can Bullsht all she wants with her qualifications and explanations. It's all a coping mechanism for people so tied into their racial identity that defined them for so long that they now have to dramatically opine within our newspaper of record how they try to reconcile with the fact they have the White Devils gene over a century past and it's dominating her life so much it requires an actual personal struggle for her to confront and overcome.
It was absolutely hilarious when I saw the story. I was laughing when I read it. And it's still funny haha now reflecting on it. It is however funny sad that people here actually lap up this emotional drivel. But while sad, it's still funny.
She's a monument to the Confederacy because she's so weak she chose to be. And she deserves to be torn down and her story put in a museum of how not be so that future generations can learn from her emotional fragility.
