Why are you defending an anti race mixing article? If that person actually is mixed, that stands against all the principles of the confederacy as it existed for those brief couple of years. Did you actually read the article, or just assume you knew what is was about because of the title?

Because I read it, and while I think the writer trying to stick Trump with blame for stuff is misplaced, her point about her hertiage and how her ancestors were treated has a point to it.

She is not coming out against racial mixing she is pointing out that mixing was not voluntary on the part of mixed race people born to slaves.

Just an FYI, AFAIK prominent Christian Right leaders such as Jerry Falwell, Pat Robertson, Billy Graham (maybe?) and Robert Grant never had Segregation, and Convert or Die as major (or even minor) policies on their platform. With that said, I'm sure you can google out of context one liners that are problematic to justify your entire warped worldview of Christianity in America of course.

Again, AFAIK, none of them advocate convert or die or segregation during their lifetimes.
