United States Trump v Kamala Harris 2024

Now I'm hearing people talking up Kamala in a way to make her appear intelligent, scrutinizing and eminently capable.
She sort of does when you put her next to Biden.

Yesterday I heard someone speculating that if Biden makes it out of this weekend though, everyone will fall in line and the press will go back to "nah his mental health is fine fam" so we'll see.

This is my dream scenario. This further erodes the presses reputation because the lie is obvious to the dems. And Biden is still running.

I think it's more likely that they'll try to argue his mental health is irrelevant, because he's merely a figurehead being puppeted by an unelected establishment, and that that's a good thing.

I...don't think/hope that this isn't the tack chosen just because being willing to try it says some incredibly shitty things about the American electorate.

Like...The US have always and ever voted for President based on that person and their personal characteristics as much (sometimes more) than any professional experience or whatnot they bring. 'I am a figurehead for a council of experts' as a campaigning move should be a viscerally, instinctually, knee-jerk 'What the fuck' from 90% of Americans regardless of party. It's why Reagan gets a good bit of shit, it's one of the reasons Wilson gets shit on by the more historically-minded...It just should not be a move anybody wants to do because it has such a low chance of working and high chance of backfiring.

But Trump derangement/partisan-insistence is very real, and maybe I'm misjudging the majority of the American electorate. So...I hope you're wrong, but fear you could be correct.

Rumors that the reason everything is coming out now is a Obama and Biden family rift, with Jill effectively running the country, Joe sleeping up to 16 hours a day, and Obama's people facing firing while Obama is trying to get donors to force Biden out.

I find this all incredibly believable; Barack knows Joe is on the way out, either via vote or health event, and Jill is running the country like Woodrow Wilson's wife, and the inter-Dem civil war is now between people inside the White House itself. Obama told Hollywood to turn on Biden, and they have hopped to.

The Dem's plan to decertify any Trump win, and are trying to make secret deal with some in the GOP to these ends. Even some in the inside of DC have already obliterated the Constitution in what they have done. Obama is supported by the NSA and CIA on the inside.

Some are saying the Hur interview tapes are doctored, and if it all comes out there may be prosecutions put forward.

This explains so much of what is going on, and has been going on, since the debate.

This BBC interview is pretty eye-opening, the guy they interview saw the shooter shimy/crawl up the roof-top, and tried to point him out to the secret service folks before he took the shoots, for 2-3 minutes.

They are saying the USSS and cops couldn't see him, but they could, and are asking why USSS wasn't on all the roofs in the area.

Pretty good questions really.
I'm hearing there was two snipers that both got taken out by the secret service.

Not sure if that's accurate or not. But that's what they said.
Might have mistaken one of the USSS snipers for a second shooter.

Jackass didn't try. He got clipped in the ear.

Which, if this was a false flag (lol) makes it the most badass and retarded attempt at a false flag in human history.

Aim for the podium next time idiots. Then it might be believable.

"Just clip him in the ear. Make it look believable."
Maybe if 49ers didn't have me on ignore, they would have caught this directly.

Newsmax & Fox News are milking this incident. Twitter exploded.

New Thread for Trump Assasination Attempt!
Hey guys since this topic is becoming so big the Trump Assassination Attempt has it's own thread now here.

Anymore discussion on the subject must be kept on that thread and must only bought up here sparingly in relation to the upcoming election and not primarily.

Thanks!

This'll be a perfect time for the Democratic Ladies to send the Sons of the Harpies to eliminate Trump.

He can make his final stand inside of the Octagon as a bunch of knife wielding masked Simps climb the fences to get beaten to death by "Thug" Rose Namajunas as she calls them commie pussies.

Then Elon musk shows up in an electric VTOL jet with a flamethrower to save the day.

Writing up the althist fic as we speak.

EDIT: Missed the announcement. I'll accept the Permban if it makes you feel better.
Now we're awaiting for Trump announcing his VP pick sometime early next week during the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee.

Reactions: Poe
As far as the effect of "the event" on the election, the obvious guess is that it helps Trump a lot, and that's the kneejerk reaction I'm seeing in a left wing space I keep my eye on as well. However, I can't help but wonder if it just falls down the memory hole with most of the general public. (The attempt on Reagan is famous, but I've just seen references to two attempts on Ford that I don't recall hearing about. But then again I wasn't a voter in 1976.) Even in that case, though, I expect it to serve as a rallying cry for the base. But can the base get any more riled up than it already is?

Either way, I think the main danger for the right is that too much attention is spent on the extent to which the left's anti-Trump rhetoric contributed to this action, which I think will devolve into a big mess of accusation and counter-accusation that isn't clearly advantageous. The mere fact that Biden hasn't had an equally close shave (that we know of) doesn't prove that the rhetoric isn't comparably nasty.

I assume the left's biggest fear is that someone a little too highly placed in the Democratic political apparatus and/or Biden campaign posts an extremely inadvisable reaction.

I wouldn't say that this is an improvement for their case.
I never said it was, but it does refocus the campaign attention away from Joe and onto Trump. Which if 2020 is anything to go by they might be able to make the election about Trump once again. From a worse starting point but making the election about Trump is about their only path to victory.

Predictions on whom Trump picks as VP ?
A.) ND Governor Doug Burgum (R): Safe pick. Super Safe.
B.) United States Senator JD Vance (R-OH)
C.) United States Senator Tom Cotton (R-AR)
D.) United States Senator Tim Scott (R-SC)
E.) United States Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL)
