That’s basically my point. Hence my “put it in a separate bill and we’ll pass it” suggestion. Could break the deadlock, shows a willingness to cooperate, and puts the ball firmly back in the Democrats’ court.
I thought this was already being tried. Or do you mean "Ukraine and only Ukraine, not Israel or any other foreign aid"?

It’s utterly disgusting how both sides are playing politics with the lives of Ukrainian soldiers, mind you.

Edit: And what’s “masterful” about the trap? I’m Autistic and I can tell this is bad juju optically speaking.
The 'masterful' part is that the Dems knew how to play this stuff, and how to get their controlled oppo groups inside the GOP to play along, thus giving the Dems a way to foist responsibility for both the border issues and aid issues on to the GOP and make the GOP into the 'bad guys' via controlling what the media says about the GOP and what some of the controlled oppo groups say about the issues at stake.

The fact you can see the trap and bad optics involved means you have more brain power than most of the GOP leadership and hardcore Trump base, who have fallen into the trap hook, line, and sinker.

If France wants to actually fight then I wish them the best. Sincerely.

I feel the United States has no reason to be involved in Ukraine at all but Europe certainly has a stake in it. If they start acting independently of each other to do so, so much the better.
Then USA would be betraying the commitment made in the Budapest memorandum, among other things.
This is not a matter of feeling, this is a matter of very complicated foreign policy and geostrategic calculus. If you don't see those reasons, that only speaks of your knowledge about such matters.

They arleady betrayed it,when they let Moscov take Crimea.Ukraine gave up nuclear weapon for stability of its borders - and USA was one of countries which promised that.

Turns out the "Polish Farmers" destroying Ukrainian grain aren't completely Polish or Farmers. The protest group has been infiltrated by FSB agitators encouraging more violent actions

Evidence?

IF true, I'm not surprised by that action.
Still waiting. But there's been a lot of chatter and actual investigations into several of the most egregious members of the group. Some of the suspects are naturalized Russians or second generation Russian Poles. Some of the most suspect are on Telegram with a history of Pro-Russian rhetoric.

There's this one idiot who was driving around with a soviet flag and got arrested for it.

Also, seems like the political containment of Navalny's funeral didn't pan out too well.

Well now we know who will be arrested to be thrown into the meat grinder.
