The Eastern Herald and Sri Lankan Daily Mirror are MSM Wokoid Liberal Rags? When I looked for followup stories (a screencap appeared in my social media feed from a Hindu stan account) the top references I got were from the Straits Times, the Times of India, the Sri Lanka subreddit, the Moscow Times, Al Arabiya, and News 24 as well as the Eastern Herald. I chose the Eastern Herald because it seemed the smallest outlet and still from India with no paywall and crediting the Sri Lankan Daily Mirror.

Straits Times is Malaysian/Singaporean, the Times of India seems self explanatory, News24 is South African and the others seem even more self explanatory. Considering the original article was released by Sri Lankan media four days ago and Western news outlets, of which I haven't used any, haven't reported it as far as I can see from basic DDG and Google searches. The Independent out of UK is the first Western "mainstream" source AFAIK that reported it in a matter significant enough to be picked up by search engines.

I will concede I doubt that the Sri Lankan Daily Mirror, the Eastern Herald, the Times of India, the Sri Lanka subreddit, the Moscow Times, Al Arabiya, the Independent UK and News 24 reported on the Boston race based party but I don't know if that's due to them being Wokoid or geographical issues.

Unless they are woke due to reporting on a Whites Only party hosted by Russians which reportedly caused a public outcry and then soon after may have contributed to the cancellation of Visas for 300,000+ Russians and Ukrainians potentially. Maybe that's not significant enough for those publications to report on, hence "Woke."

In the future I'll be sure to be more critical in looking for non-woke newspapers regarding stories dealing with the Indian subcontinent.

Sri Lanka has been benefiting from discount Russian Oil as well which helped them alleviate the economic motivated instability that was rampant in that country some months ago.

I don't think you guys are quite getting that the America First caucus, and the voters that elect them, are not joking when we say that the border is so much more important to us and it must be fixed if the interventionists want their Ukraine support. We've been compromising on this, and basically everything, for generations and at this point Republican voters would rather the government shut down permanently than continue to fund one (and foreign ones at that) which fails to address even our basic needs.

It's simple, Biden could enact the same policies Trump had tomorrow and a lot of this would be fixed. Democrats could budge and commit to real border wall funding (not minor funding and legalized acceptance of millions of illegals a year) and we'd have a passable bill. If they did that Ukraine would get the support they need, and that would be a sign of a healthy republic. They won't though because they've controlled the media for so long they don't believe they have to compromise ever, just spin it as the rights fault. So blame them, not the Republicans who've given more than a few miles of slack over the years.

That’s basically my point. Hence my “put it in a separate bill and we’ll pass it” suggestion. Could break the deadlock, shows a willingness to cooperate, and puts the ball firmly back in the Democrats’ court.
