You don't know the full history of it do you? They gave the Russians a black eye but the Russians had more men to drown them in while the Finns did not. Only because of that what they lost in exchange could've been worse if they didn't fight as hard.

I know some very basic French but I wouldn't know the whole thing which is why I thought you can easily understand what they say without the subtitles.

That's where I'm not sure. It's called plausible deniability when any country sends advisers and trainers to help form a resistance but everyone in the big leagues do that from time to time.

This is literally the old card the Russians played back during the Tsardom with the Russification efforts. They literally banned the Catholic Church in Poland, Polish language, and even took away the name of "Poland" redubbing it as the "land of the Vistula River."
Stalin also used these same policies in the Caucuses so he could better divide and rule the region.
