Shrug.
As long as you make the distinction that you're not talking about how the right and Christians actually are in reality, and are instead talking about how they appear to you through the lens of perception and propaganda.
That should clear up any confusion or offense. Because of course we're slandered by culture and the media. Always have been. No big deal. A fallen world diametrically opposed to good and all that.
We are not in a 'fallen world', we are the only world that everyone mortal shares, no matter the creed or religion.
There was never a paradise or eden we fell from; that whole shebang is just there to create 'original sin' to use to guilt trip/scare people into compliance with whatever the Temple/Vatican/religious heads wanted.
There's more evidence for Atlantis than there is for the Garden of Eden, though I guess maybe a 'Garden of Eden' could have been part of Atlantis and it's another of those long games of cultural telephone that is humanities only link to whatever was around in the pre-Younger Dryas times.
Ok why are you bringing up this to me I'm Jewish. I don't have any right to speak for that community.
You specifically, no; but I wasn't just responding to you, was I?
Also, the first words of Judeo-Christian are Judeo; a lot of the stupidity and historical narrative crafting that ended up getting pushed into Christianity started in the Old Testament. Plus, well, Abraham's successors committed there fair share of warcrimes on the Canaanites and others around that area before they were able to establish their own nation and build the Temple.
Though at this point I doubt many Jews hold to the 'just world' hypothesis the way many Christians still do; after all the shit the Jewish people have been through since the damn Babylonians and Romans decided to fuck with them, the 'just world' hypothesis probably doesn't hold much water to them.
You're wrong about literally all of this, excepting a miniscule fringe that the media likes to put a lot of focus and attention on.
Put another way, you're still buying the leftist propaganda about the 'religious right.' Again, another indicator of why I say you still think like a leftist, because you still spout their propaganda talking points.
Committed Christians generally believe the exact opposite of a 'just world.' They believe this world is sinful, fallen, and broken. That evil and corrupt men will seek power, tell pretty lies to people to get them to give it. That this world is all too often ruled by literal or metaphorical servants of the devil, and that just and virtuous men in power is the exception, not the rule.
When America was founded, it was founded to be the exception, but it has long since left that behind in so many ways.
Again, there was never an Eden or paradise to 'decend/fall' from, unless it was as a very twisted retelling of either pre-desertification Mesopotamia, or of something out of Atlantis that was absorbed into the Judeo-CHristian mythology as a way to create 'original sin'.
Also, not so 'miniscule' a fringe as you would like, nor nearly as inconsequential to public image as you think it should be. Just because the Right sucks at the PR game and PR management, doesn't mean that the public perception can just be dismissed.
Just saying 'you think like a Leftist still' is absolutely worthless to actually dealing with the Right's PR problems; it's just dismissal and attempting to dodge dealing with the PR issues that come with this shit.
Though at least the GOP isn't alone with image issues right now, thanks to the kiddie-fucker-in-chief in DC.
