As a programmer, I'm suddenly rather glad you don't get to see some of my projects that are "works in progress".

Not least because of how tedious it would be explaining to someone who never worked on that kind of project while the "ass backwards" (isn't that the proper way for that anyway?) solutions are actually the least inefficient way to do something...
