You are misconstruing what you quoted.
The reason it is a religious war is not that "we should rise up as religion X to do a jihad"

Rather, it is a religious war because the state religion of Woke is waging a Jihad against all infidels who do not ascribe to the Woke religion.

I am an atheist, not Evangelical right. and I fully recognize this to be a religious war. Fought between Woke religion and Infidels to Wokeness. (I stand with the infidels)

My guess is people are equating a return to more traditional Christian values as rule by god-king. In the same way that opponents of feminism are portrayed as being Handmaiden's Tale reenacters.

This is mostly projection in my mind, culturally Christian nations have historically had few issues running a fairly liberal society with basically none devolved into theocracy. Left behind leftists are doomsaying because their particular vice of choice would be shunned.
