Breaking News January 6th Stop the Steal Rally & Capitol Breaching/Storming

They don’t care about the precedent. There are numerous laws that can be used against leftists now - it is illegal to burn down people’s business or beat them up after all - but the laws aren’t enforced. We have become a lawless nation.

Interestingly enough, BLM has been bad for both small businesses and blacks themselves. The blacks that BLM saved have been more than "compensated" by the additional blacks who were killed by other blacks due to there being less police in black neighborhoods as a result of BLM's activism against the police:

I wouldn't be surprised if eventually more blacks will have cumulatively died (indirectly) as a result of BLM's activism than previously died under Jim Crow (several thousand in total in lynchings, if I recall correctly). Seriously.

I’m not surprised at all about Ted Cruz. He’s rotten just like almost every Republican is. That’s one of the things about Donald Trump, he has so many flaws and even baggage, but at least we know he actually is fighting the establishment to at least some degree. For most other GOP candidates, even those who conveniently jumped on the Trump train, they are just the controlled opposition.

Rand Paul is another guy who, despite some flaws, is actually willing to fight the system. For others, even people who talk a good game, it’s hard to know.

I can’t think of any black lives that BLM has actually saved. They have caused numerous black deaths, and other deaths too since, you know, the lives of white people matter too. Not only directly from rioting but, as you say, from increased murder rates in cities.

If BLM really wanted to stop black people from being killed, they would need to address black people’s behavior: not just the crimes they commit but the other bad behaviors (promiscuity, fatherless homes) that lead to higher rates of crime.

It says something very unpleasant about our times that you can say something so transparently insane and not fear any substantial consequences or blowback for doing so.

Granted, in Harris's case that's partial because her approval rating have effectively bottomed out already so whatever she says can't hurt her, but still.

It's going to be treated as America's Reichstag Fire; facts do not matter, only how the event can be used to further push the political narrative of the Far-Left/Biden regime.

We need to prepare to be the White Rose Society, and military members need to be watching Valkyrie.

That's not really a reasonable comparison.

The Reichstag fire was taken seriously by most Germans, and in reaction the government was able to rally supporters around itself and focus the public attention on a small subset of the population, who were heavily targeted and suppressed by the government.

The "Jan 6th was the worst thing ever" line is not taken seriously by anyone save the most ardent democratic partisan, and while they've used it to fire up thier base, they're not getting traction with the public at large. And while the dems have attempted to use it as wedge issue to rally people against "the enemies of democracy" or whatever, they flubbed it by casting the entire GOP as said enemy, and by attempting to respond to said enemies by passing a bunch of stuff they already wanted to pass, which marks thier reaction as a transparently obvious ploy (the fact they have no interest in reformimg the electoral count act, which played a significant role in triggering the riot, speaks volumes about how unserious they are).

We live in unreasonable times; the comparison is apt, even if it shouldn't be in a sane world.

We shall see about that.

The "public at large" often proves irrelevant, if you look at history; it usually only takes a comparatively small fraction of the population to screw everyone else over, and there are a lot more "ardent democratic partisan(s)" running around than people like Battlegrinder are willing to admit.

There's certainly a concerning number of deluded partisans, however there's no Reichstag Fire Decree waiting to be issued and set to screw us all.

The closest thing they have is H.R. 1 and nuking the filibuster, both of which are bad, however there's a side element to that. The Dems know they don't have to votes for either one, and this would not be the first time a party railed on about trying to do something and blaming everyone else for it not happening as a ploy to rile up the base, while having no serious intent of actually doing it. IE, the Republican's and their staggeringly inept attempt to repeal Obamacare, which they had not expected to actually be in a position to pass.

Look only thirty some of population believes violence against the government under any ciricmstances is acceptable. Even if literal nazis or commies take over and start committing genocide.

only thirty some

We have a very serious problem in this country but it ain't what the bureaucratic class and the barking dogs for the oligarchs are saying it is.

Dude makes a good point.

I am gonna call complete BS on that, if Trump was gleeful it would imply he not only planned but he expected it to work. And everyone know it doesn't work like that. He might have been "gleeful" when they marched and showed up for his speeches and stuff, that I fully believe, but he is not stupid to think them breaking into the Capitol was gonna help him.

I was under the impression Trump was outside giving a speech when this all went down.

Yes and as a matter of fact he said it needs to be peaceful and had a whole event planned and was going to go down the street and give another speech but the riot happened while he was speaking, so once his speech was done (the plan was for the crowd to march from there to capitol hill for the next part of the event,) instead of moving to next location they're like, nope, let's get out of here, and then he released a statement telling people to stop, to go home. That this isn't how we do things.

Alex Jones was also in the crowd with a megaphone telling people not to act like the left and to stay peaceful.

Blaming Trump for people rioting when he was telling them to remain peaceful makes no sense whatsoever, but here we are.

If he really planned this, there never would have been a march on DC in the first place, but a continuous protest outside the homes of people like Gabriel Sterling and Brad Raffensperger and hundreds of citizens blocking the state capitol buildings to prevent state reps and the Governor from doing their jobs as a civil means of resisting.

Trump isn't that dumb.

Unlike the FBI who blew up that Loeffler aid's car to force them to cuck despite them losing any way..That was stupid.

If you want to reduce the number of fatherless homes, then changing our child support laws back to what they were before the 1970s or so might be a good start in regards to this. Child support gives single women an incentive to raise children in fatherless homes, after all.
