Breaking News January 6th Stop the Steal Rally & Capitol Breaching/Storming

This is some of the most transparent abuse of power I've ever seen. It's almost certain that the courts will not allow that kind of precedent to be set. If it does get set though, that'll actually bode very, very poorly for leftists, because they'll start getting sued into the ground for every riot they instigate and participate in.

They don’t care about the precedent. There are numerous laws that can be used against leftists now - it is illegal to burn down people’s business or beat them up after all - but the laws aren’t enforced. We have become a lawless nation.

The thing is, the police department or sheriff's office would then be able to sue even if the DA is summarily dismissing charges. That means that there's now a fiscal incentive for people who are literally getting attacked in the streets to go after these thugs.

It wouldn't happen everywhere or all the time, but if getting arrested doesn't just mean you're out the next day when the DA drops the charges, but that the cops have also got all your personal information, as well as mugshot and have personally seen you, and had to put up with your shit?

They have everything they need to sue, and can even deliver the legal notices themselves.

Meet Ray Epps, Part 2: Damning New Details Emerge Exposing Massive Web Of Unindicted Operators At The Heart Of January 6 - Revolver
Six weeks ago, Revolver News published a blockbuster investigative report on Ray Epps — a man who, more than any other individual, appears to be the key unlocking the question of active federal involvement in the so-called “Capitol Siege” of January 6th.

Out of all of the thousands of January 6’s protesters, and the thousands of hours of publicly available footage from that fateful day, Ray Epps has turned out to be perhaps the only person nailed dead to rights confessing on camera to plotting a pre-planned attack on the Capitol. On both January 5 and January 6, Epps announced multiple times, at multiple locations, his upcoming plot to breach the US Capitol. He then spent hours attempting to recruit hundreds of others to join him. On top of it all, Epps was seen leading key people and managing key aspects of the initial breach of the Capitol grounds himself.

Is everyone ready for the absolute shitshow of propaganda, teary eyed politicians and cringe inducing "worst than 9/11, trillions in damages and thousands dead" media takes tomorrow?

God these people are assholes
Their butthurt that Trump cancelled his, and now have to fill the day creating their own bullshit instead of trying to misrepresent Trump in real time, again.

Biden probably had some speech ready, but expected to be responding to what Trump said, instead of be the one speaking first.

The overwrought concern about the 'Holy Capitol' being defiled by rioters and such is honestly some of the most silly pap out of all this. Like...sure, riots bad. The noble airs politicians (and media) have couched themselves in when talking about this one riot in particular because it was in their backyard instead of somewhere they can safely ignore are both worse and getting no push-back. The building is not some holy shrine to American democracy or government, it's a sausage-factory at best.

Next President should do an Andrew Jackson and have a literal kegger and wine-party on the White House lawn--with McDonald's burgers ordered-in for catering (that silliness is honestly one of few PR stunts Trump did well). The Patriot Act bullshit that put limitations on it should be axed and there should start being real, actual tours by civilians of the White House and the Capitol and the like once again.
...
And while I'm bitching, when someone leaves office can we quit with the annoying-ass custom of calling them by their former title? If someone is no longer President, they're not 'President [x]', if someone is no longer a Senator, they're not 'Senator [y]'. Once they no longer have the job, they no longer have the title--they're not titles of nobility that come with lifetimes required amounts of social respect. 'Former President' or 'Former Senator' and stuff is even honestly pushing it, but at least those have the excuse/justification of informing any ignoramuses who may not know them (as threadbare as that excuse is and reliant as it is upon people being idiots...But there's lots of peoples out there who don't know who the presidents/VPs are at any one time, and I'm sure more who don't know senators, so...)

Coward just capitulates like a bitch.

This is why the GOP is losing, when it comes to the most important points they just fold. Would it really be that hard to say just "riot" instead? No, he has to use the left's language. As the poster says, this means he loses any ground he had to complain about the Jan 6th Committee going after everyone, since he just agreed with their position about how "serious" it was.

Ted Cruz is good at talking the talk; but he always, always balks when it comes time to walk the walk. The man is a grifter, plain and simple.
