United States Biden administration policies and actions - megathread

Oh, lovely. They've sent me a mo-ron.
Obviously. I mean, I don't care about the tax, it goes into our highways after all, but he could obviously fix this problem by not pretending to be stupid. Any man that can manage a social conglomerate, a sex trade and become president should be able to manage this nation. Yet he isn't doing well? I want to say it's because Democrat solutions don't work, but obviously they did under Obama, as that was a reasonably stable period. So it makes total sense that he's bombing our economy on the order's of someone else. I vote China.
They also aren't working because these Democrats are no longer the sane ones when it's the economy stupid was the focus. You're also forgetting Soros, the WEF, the Green to woke believers and career politicians that all add up.

No, it didn't. BLM, Treyvon Martin-related violence, persecuting political opponents through the federal government and especially the collapse of Iraq and making the civil war in Syria worse. Fast and Furious, ordering the tooling for the F-22 production line destroyed, Ben Ghazi...

The Obama administration was a disaster, it was just more easily hidden, and often forgotten, than what's happening now.

Yeah, my impression is that Obama was a whole lot better at downplaying and soft-pedaling it than his predecessors. Whereas Bush had lots of boots on the ground and would remind the public they were at war every chance he got, Obama rarely mentioned foreign entanglements and overwhelmingly favored drones, airstrikes, and commando raids that didn't require massive troop deployments. Not to mention how the media adored him, which lent him further cover than Bush ever got.

While I do agree, he did leave America in a better situation than he inherited, and that is all that really matters.

Yeah. I mean, pre-2016, I was a liberal, post-2016, and I'm considered a Nat-Conservative. fucking wild how the left has self destructed.

That meme from Musk is still appropriate; what used to be the Left is now the Centre-Left at best, typically Centre, or Centre-Right at worst.

But, nope. According to those on the New Left, anyone who isn't them are Alt-Right and "Nazis" *cough*.

This is pretty much my go-to answer to these New Leftards:

Just because someone fucks up less than their predecessor, doesn't mean you should excuse their fuck-ups. You should scrutinize both, and letting the "lesser evil" off means that evil will still win, so long as they have a greater evil to point to.

Obama?

I very much disagree.

He absolutely strangled the economy. Turned what should have been a fairly normal recovery period into the great recession.

It's telling that when Trump came in and started undoing things the economy immediately took off and we had the best economy of our lives till covid and lockdowns ruined everything.

Plus the whole Arab spring thing and pivoting to supporting Iran and destabilizing the entire Middle East.

Plus the turning federal agencies into his personal attack dogs. Having the irs target conservatives specifically. And having all his "czars" try and take over various sectors of the economy. Plus the absolute disaster that obamacare has been.

Obamas presidency is defined by government power exploding in size and trying to take over or influence everything and the media covering for him every step of the way.

And if you were against any part of it then you were just racist and hated him because he's black.

The country became incredibly divided because of that administration and its policies. That's the reason we're as split as we are now. It started under Bush and Obama and the democrats and their media lapdogs took it to a insane level with Trump.

I think Obama made literally everything worse.

Obama was charismatic as a person, but as a President? As someone in authority? Yeah, he took America to brown town repeatedly.

I don't know, he definitely made the economy stable.

on this graph you can see the years and the average GDP growth rate. As you may be able to tell, his first few years were pretty much summarized as grappling a dying bull moose in the middle of the Atlantic. that being said, absolute shit. But when he finally got his fixes in, he brought the economy back not fully, but definitely to a better place. of course he wasn't good at it, but he was decent.

After that he was lauded as the 'New FDR' for doing what any sane human could do, and it went to his head; big time. He started doing FDR things, you know, expanding his power in ways he should not have. This of course led to the authoritarianic views of the left. Is he wholey to blame? fuck yeah, but he was the best option in 08 and perchance in 12 (I don't know much on the republican from that election) McCain is a lard ass, anyone could tell that by looking at him. He'd make the economy much, much worse.

no. he always intended to do those things. everyone warned you he will do those things. it was in his book, it was in his voting record.
obama was incredibly successful in destroying the soul of america, the woke crap we got now did not spring out of thin air. It is not ALL obama's fault of course, but he was a huge contributor.

for example common core... the current educational mandate across all usa. was set into place 12 years ago in 2010. 1 year into obama's presidency. It was specifically created "to destroy whiteness" (quoting its chief creator in an interview). But it goes so much further than merely destroying whitey, it destroys all of america.

Obama also was the most prolific appointer of judges in history. Having appointed thousands of liberal activist judges and thoroughly wrecking the judiciary branch.

He fundamentally transformed america, just like he wanted.

If that's true he turned America's next generation into idiots with less regard for critical thinking or arithmetic.
