Honestly the 'get in front of me' Biden-line is more funny than anything.
It just would've been treated as a legitimate threat if made during the previous administration, with a whole week-long news cycle about how
dangerous journalists reporting from the White House Press Corps had it. Jim Acosta would've made a scene and written another book. There'd have been flashy graphics and headlines and all that, so the good-natured aww-shucks folksy humor of it kind of falls flat behind the hypocrisy of the media more than anything.
Good on Biden for making an actually kinda-funny crack...Regardless of whether he was driving (pretty sure I recall Secret Service not liking that as something that came up with prior presidents).
On a more serious note with its own helping of hypocrisy (this time administration rather than journalistic):
As oil shoots up in price, US steps further away from keeping the Eurozone off of Russian petrol-feeding. Which has all sorts of foreign policy stuff, most surface of which being it increasing Russian influence in Europe and benefitting them economically.
All whilst Keystone is held up, despite administration officials recognizing pipelines as the most environmentally-friendly method of shipping oil.
Only thing the story needs for maximum seasoning and meta-ironic humor is Hunter Biden being connected in an advising role somehow to the oil tycoons involved.
