Because of his involvement in Africa at least partly (some rather unethical work with vaccines which resulted in his company being banned from some countries there due to deaths that were caused), and also because of his rather disturbingly gleeful talk about lockdowns and needing vaccine passports and even talk of putting something in the vaccine that can be scanned at checkpoints to make sure people actually had it so they can be out and traveling. Basically all the disturbing authoritarian stuff people are scared of concerning the reaction to the pandemic originated with him and his wife.
I am not so sure about that. I guess considering how the Canadian police have actually been more authoritarian that their American counterparts have been in trampling all over their citizens rights, I have a feeling this will end up getting used against that pastor and his church. The only religion that's protected in Canada is Islam.

I actually find it pretty disgusting in general that people are such litter bugs, but what makes this hilarious is that California (and I think a few other places, too) banned plastic straws and plastic bags because of litter ending up in the ocean on the poor wildlife dying because of it, yet you don't hear any of the same concern over the masks, because they have such hard-ons for the masks and want them mandated everywhere.

The straw ban means you get paper straws now, which are I guess fine but are still the same problem for the sea turtles that were emblematic of the issue. The fucking plastic bags though. You still get just as many plastic bags but now you get these heavy duty reusable bags every time you get your groceries. So I use vastly more plastic getting my shopping in now. At least in Scotland you still used the cheap bags but you have to pay 5p per bag, this is just vastly more wasteful.
Eh, it's all about money, whether from taxing or because the product is too profitable to ignore (facemasks). When money is involved, the enviroment means as much as women's rights do in Islamic countries.

Its honestly like a lot of green policies. Windmills make for great renewable energy, except all the un-recyclable blades that are filling up Texas landfills right now. I favor solar panels to windmills myself, though their production and disposal is also harmful to the environment (I just don't care as much because I'm not a greenie). I still think nuclear is the way, and I'm particularly interested in reactors that can recycle old fuel and in thorium.
So I want to say I am leery of getting the vaccine anytime soon, for quality control reasons mostly.
The J&J vaccine is the one used for most younger folks, and is also the one that had a huge recall of doses not too long ago.
Now pretty much every other member of my family has gotten a vaccine for the Wu Flu, or is signed up to, and I've not seen any ill effects among those who had the jab.
However I have also been seeing stories of young, healthy people dying not too long after they got the vaccine, and Europe is investigating several of the vaccines due to the things/side effects that have happened to people.
I am going to wait and see a bit before trying to get a vaccine, and will try to make sure I can chose with brand/maker is put in me when the time comes.

I got my first shot today. My arm has been kind of numb since a few minutes after I got it. The paramedics there say they think the needle must've hit a nerve, and it does feel like the same one I had pinched by a bulging disc in my neck, as the numbness I feel is along the same path as the pain I felt then, which goes from my jaw down to the tips of my middle, ring, and pinky fingers. Feels slightly better now 6 hours later.

There are reasons why vaccines take fifteen years, not fucking two. It's an alpha stage bio-tech product.
Yeah, if it's a blood clotting issue, that should have been worked out before rushing it to the public.
Though the cynic in me thinks maybe they left the clotting issue in there to try to 'thin the herd', the same with a lot of stuff surround this virus. Because I've also heard about both the virus and vaccines negatively affecting fertility in men and possibly women.
The bug, the vaccines, and the reactions to it all...it feels like someone *coughFauciandtheelitescough* is trying for both a Rainbow Six and Mass Effect-style 'depopulation bomb via virus/bio-tech/genophage'.

It's normal for vaccines to have some side-effects. Muscle aches for days after, some degree of sickliness, etc.
That, in and of itself, is not a cause for concern.
The fact that there have not been long-term tests of the vaccine, that is a pretty legit reason to be leery. We each have to make our own risk/loss analysis on that, but it's not crazy to be concerned about, or crazy to decide the risks are worth taking.
I'm a healthy mid-30's man with no complicating factors for the Wu-Flu. I'm not planning on taking the vaccine, as I don't see myself as having any real need of it.

I didn't ask the world to start looking like those are real possibilities, and I'm not the only one worried about it, either.
I used to rant against this sort of thing when I was working in the cannabis industry, where I heard every 'conspiracy theory' under the sun from my coworkers.
Then the world decided to go insane, and start proving that there is some 'truth' to a lot of conspiracy theories regarding the US gov and international organizations. During the Establishment's attack on Trump they dropped the mask on many things; we already have things like MK Ultra, the Tuskegee Experiments, the bullshit surround Agent Orange, 'Gulf War Syndrome', and others to show the elites in DC and the DoD have no problem pulling shadey biological games on the US public and military. That all doesn't even go into the Bill Gates angle, the Fauci connections to Wuhan CDC angle, or the Soros/Clinton angle.
You can try to dismiss me as 'sounding crazy' or 'being crazy' for worrying about those possiblities, but I will point to all the other shadey, black ops type shit the DC elite and thier foreign allies have been doing to the plebs in the US for decades, along with the dire environmental predictions we've been getting for years which the elites probably believe, to make you understand as to why those worries exist.

I, for one, am old enough to remember a few years ago when opening the use of experimental drugs to terminally-ill individuals invited criticism from many because of the lack of FDA-approval. Now, the explicitly experimental vaccines operating under similar emergency-use provisions are lauded to the healthy, the at-risk, and everybody else despite not having gone through the entire approval and safety-testing process.
Somewhat works the other way as well--FDA, like other agencies, is not storied for its efficiency and quick processing, and it's impossible to achieve long-term testing of something that's not been in existence long enough for it to be possible. Whether that should preclude any consideration of the vaccine? I dunnow, actually. Animal-testing can provide a good bit of data on long-term analogs to humans that occur in more abbreviated spans, and there's a cost-benefit type of thing running towards elderly or at-risk folks getting a vaccination earlier, even if it DOES mean some complications, cold and disturbing as that is to consider.
Governments and doctors being straightforward about that situation instead of shifty-ing about on the topic would be preferable, is the long and short of it I guess. But if it's one thing this whole Wuhan Flu thing has emphasized, is just how willing governments are to present information in whatever immediately-useful manner they need to try and steer opinion (masks as the other big example of this).
