I'm not disagreeing with you about whether or not 'traps' are cute. I think that question is entirely wrong. I think the 'trap' stereotype is rooted in a bunch of ideas about masculinity, sexuality, and power that are deeply corrosive and harmful. In the real world I think there are also a bunch of nasty stereotypes here about 'femme' or 'sissy' men, and that of course goes deeper into how we think about homosexuality and gender identity.

Also I am profoundly unhappy that the first thing a lot of internet-dwellers picture where they hear the name 'Astolfo' is... that.

Japan happened. What can you do when they churn out entertainment that can go widespread? I don't recall anyone else using the character. Soon they'll make more and more and characters written by RL people or RL figures you know will be overwritten.

Me too, I've somehow decided to go about reading loads of old pre90s Marvel&DC comics as well as works by authors of an older time with different ways of saying like Robert E. Howard.....man that guy somehow manages to mix being a berserker with a thinking fighter

If only my artistic talent was that good I would make some new stuff myself but alas I didn't have the right background to get a better idea of the smaller details like a setting.

The environment here is welcoming, elsewhere is not.

Simple as that, don't care much for politics or other talking points but I hold a grudge for life. I'm usually pretty calm so it takes a lot to piss me off. A lot. The leaks themselves did not piss me off, the Staff reaction to it on SB did.

Honestly, I stumbled here for just finding the guy who made “Gems of Infinite Potential (MCU SI)”

I didn’t expect this is more than it is, as much as a recent(?*) lurker for SB. I don’t really get to know much on PMs nor know it what feels from the events of it, I just go to the forum to read fanfiction by people as it is my favorite pass-time when I get to relax from life. I don’t dwell well into politics because I really don’t know what to think of it for most things, and I just prefer to not have an opinion on it. (But I keep the moral of common sense when it comes to the extreme.)

As for registering and entering, I suppose the XenForo logo made me nostalgic. Yeah, it maybe a lame excuse but they were really good memories when I used to be a part of this one community that uses XenForo. I guess that when I register, I could relive some of those memories of being that little scrub I was back in the day to grow the new community in this forum.

And I thought maybe, entering this thread would be the new introduction for me what this forum is like. To know what to expect and read the people’s reason of joining forum and thread. But after reading a bit, I never realized how personal this can be. For former members to have this perspective towards the other forum and talking about how it feels. I felt like I’m stepping into something that I felt shouldn’t be involved in, but I suppose I’ll just respect what it is being said.

But then again, I could just simply lurk and wait for writers to post in Creative Writing to supply my past-time reading.

*(I started in July 2019 because I started looking into Young Justice SI stories until I came across the website. Eversince then, I have now embedded myself in Worm SIs and hoping I could write my own Worm CYOA)
