There's a big thread on SB about it. Basically the long and short of it is that there was a large PM group of conservative, moderate, and libertarian posters who used to interact in whitehall and NSFD on SB that got leaked. Said PM were staff approved but private, said leaks included massively cut and out of context posts of ours including one entirely fabricated rape fantasy about an SB user. Despite just how bullshit these were Spacebattles allowed us to be dragged and insulted as nazis, as fascists, as racists and white supremacists while if we opened our mouths to defend ourself we got threadbanned.

Then @Empress_Zoe came along, an SB user who saw all this and found it terrible, and wanted to create a less toxic, more welcoming environment based on a balance of civility and free speech and offered us to join and be a part of it. You don't need to be a conservative to join and be a part of us. One of our top posters has been a die hard socialist and he is perfectly welcome. We just want a site where you can enjoy Sci-Fi and fantasy and talk nerd shit or politics without being demonized openly because you have different beliefs.

Yeah, though it goes to show that among my threads, its mostly the non-fiction one that gets so many responses

Give it a few more months and we may have more people around talking about their fanfic ideas

Our creative writing sub forum is damn popular currently and pub is high. When something is debatable it naturally has more responses due to back and forth.

SB's Whitehall has been that way for several years now; even some of the mods wallow in the toxicity. There have been attempts to curb some of the more extreme behavior, which I respect, but fundamentally the biases of the majority of SB's staff keeps them from ever getting to the root of the problem; which is a total lack of respect, and many times outright hatred, for anyone with a dissenting opinion.

Admittedly sorta narcissistic of myself, I noticed that the threads I made tend to get little attention even on QQ, maybe I should make my own Wormverse Thread and Marvel/DC Thread instead of just a “General Superhero Thread”

Last time I went and logged in on SB they said we(TheSietch)were running away from an “SJW Boogeyman”

Seriously, how long and how much can they keep downplaying or ignoring or even justifying the fact that they exist and have power over the entertainment industries

Sony’s not censoring itself out of fear of Right Wingers, it’s in fucking California or Commiefornia

As long and as much as they have to; in order to the maintain the delusion that they're the oppressed, and we're the oppressors.
