Fact is... Discovery isn't about demanding things you want without being able to actually articulate the reason why you want them. If Trump's lawyers would just articulate the reason, relevance and pertinence to the trial, they would almost certainly get them no problem. But that's not what is happening. They're asking for things with other reason than a vague "it's important", but... WHY is it important? What specific evidence are they asking for?

Not really. Even in the 90s Trump's politics were more in line with those of the Reform Party than the Democrats. Heck, by the late 90s Trump WAS a member of the Reform Party and was even their Presidential candidate once or twice in the late 90s / early 00s. By the 80s the Dems had already been completely subverted with supporting illegal immigration, having passed an actual Amnesty Bill in the 80s and then purposefully failing to follow through on promised increased border security and enforcement. In the early 90s the Dems were already in China's pocket, with the Clinton administration, within its first two years of taking office, already removing the human rights reviews concerning China's trade status and setting up the groundwork for offshoring American industry to China. People think the Dem betrayal of the working class is a recent thing, but it's not, it began as far back as the 1970s when the New Left began taking control of the party and was pretty thoroughly completed by the 1990s. It's just taken non-Appalachian working class folks decades to realize it since the media and academia kept claiming the Dems were for them. The Appalachians realized it in the 90s due to the Assault Weapon Ban (Guns were always a more important issue to the Appalachian voters than to the Rust Belt).

Literally every major opinion poll on the 2024 elections has disagreed with that assessment for some time now. Trump currently has the lead in favourability, in all realistic scenarios.

That doesn't mean you're certainly wrong. Unlike you, I don't presume to be omniscient like that; but it does indicate that all available evidence runs counter to your claims.
