The author is on the Left side of the spectrum, and her characterizations and story-crafting can be a bit weak at times (and those are more technical issues with the craft, not her views and attitudes as a person), but Harry Potter is far from a Leftoid series of propaganda -- just because a lot of the fanbase has drunk the kool-aid, mostly because they follow the stars from the films and how culture itself has gone, doesn't mean that the source material itself is Leftoid.
