I don't think that the Olympics should just be about winning at all costs. I'd rather the USA bring home zero gold medals than bring home the most by cheating.
I mean... didn't the Soviets do something similar in the Cold War? Have their women's team on lots of testosterone to increase their physical strength and capabilities in order to run up their medal count vs the US?

Possibly, it's what they did with the men who did powerlifting and all the other strongman stuff.
I think the "joke" was the East German Swim Team because supposedly those ladies were doping so much in the 70's and 80's that it was so readily apparent and obvious that it became a cultural phenomenon in how easy it was to mock and ridicule.

I didn't really read much into it so I'm not sure if gender transitioning was part of the whole DDR scandal... but there was a lot of doping/steroids/growth hormones being forced coercively on the athletes including lots of female ones.

This is just not fair to those strong, hard working, inspirational women who put everything on the line, put their lives on hold to train, and work so damn hard to achieve greatness. Then some dude who wants to be a chick comes in and kicks their ass.
I feel bad for these awesome and hard working women, who don't deserve to be robbed of their hard work.

I differentiate the two, I’m pretty sure there were already women in men’s spaces who were accepted and it wasn’t made such a big deal that they were women and they enjoyed the hobby the same as the dudes and shared personality traits and likes

It essentially confirms objective fact: Testosterone is a performance enhancing drug. Most world doping authorities don’t care if you accidentally doped through no fault of your own, you’re still banned from competition. Unless testosterone levels are in female normal range at the beginning of one’s sports career... A lifelong ban wouldn’t be out of the order.

Not just at the beginning of the sports career. The study found that simply going through puberty as a male gives an unfair advantage because of all the naturally built up upper-body muscle mass that women just don't get.

Yes, but we’re looking at people who, comparatively, were quite recently still on high doses of testosterone. Muscle mass does erode, especially after surgery and intense weightloss during the recovery phase, followed by weight gain primarily as fat from the dominance of estrogen subsequently. Since testosterone production doesn’t fully end until surgery the real question is why preoperative transsexuals are being allowed to compete in sport, and that’s totally ideological within the modern transgenderist movement.

If I have to choose between the trans community and the feminist one I'm choosing the trans one.
Simply put at the end of the day the trans community isn't trying to take away my right to due process or infringe on my other rights or as delibretly malicious as the feminist one. So if the two come to blows I'm going to cheer the trans one every time.
