I’d do know that I’ve heard that with Eagle pass closed down, the illegals are just re routing to areas a few miles away and entering uncontested there. I’ve seen some people wondering if the whole situation is just being put on for show in light of this.

Personally, I’m not so sure that it is but I won’t entirely rule it out. It is curious that this either areas also haven’t been fortified.

Then again, I’m the guy who wouldn’t mind seeing key crossings on the US border being so fortified that they’d look like the Maginot Line or the Atlantic Wall in WW2. Though lighter on the heavy artillery.

Draw a literal red line across the border, and have men with scoped rifles a hundred yards further away. You cross the red line, our marksmen shoot you in the leg, and you get to crawl back. If you die, that's unfortunate, but you knew the consequences when you came.

If you cross the second, black line, we shoot to kill.

If you try to use a child as a human shield to protect you, we shoot and kill you, then take the child back across the border and make a nominal effort to send them to their parents.

Make this standing policy, and you can close off the border with a lot less fatalities.


Especially if you combine it with actually finishing the damn wall, and after it's complete, the wall serves as the line.

The USA won the war in vietnam. Twice.
First it won it for the republican party. Enforcing a two state solution.
Then the democrats got into power and they very publicly declared they are backstabbing south vietnam. and thus won it for the communists.

The only problem USA had with the war in vietnam was MSM lies gaslighting the public into voting demonrats into power.

Also, there are multiple countries which are going that far to secure their border and it works just fine politically for them.
