I once read about some "invisible" tank prototype made in England, but i forget who made it.
/invisible - in a sense, that tank automatically changed colour to look like terrain behind it/
Mimetic camo tech you mean? Sorry, been in GURPS and Ghost Recon a lot lately.

Though... granted... they might've likely survived the nuclear detonation in the capitol city due to the fact it had a robust NBC protection system and thus would've needed to be pretty close to the blast to face serious danger.

Honestly they probably did.

You know I wonder when the replacement for the Abrams will enter active service. Probably sometime in the 2030s

Far longer, the design of the Abrams is surprisingly future-proof. A lot of it is gun power, armor, and electronics. Not only that, but the shape will also be with us for centuries due to the requirements of composite armor.
honestly I could easily see the replacement for Abrams(which the Army is supposed to make a decision about in 2023) being basically an Abrams hull that takes full advantage of all the material science and other advances we've had to be lighter by a fair few tons but also be more survivable and lethal

the Abrams just like the M4 won't be replaced until I get out, at leastb10 years, maybe even 20

Given how any realistic replacement program will take at least a decade(and more likely two) to deliver enough tanks just to replace the active Abrams you're not wrong

I'm honestly surprised Britain's nigh-invincible monster hasn't made the rounds yet, so I'll be the first.

Despite our government's obsession with slashing the Army to death, the United Kingdom has come a long way from the Cromwell and Churchill, hasn't it?

Your whole military has been slashed

Indeed, but the Army has got the short end of the stick even there. The RAF is still getting new and powerful jets, the Royal Navy is still getting aircraft carriers, but the Army's been told to make do with what they have. It's almost like our leaders want us to lose the next war.

Besides France, (From what I have noticed they have kept a powerful military and aren't shrinking it, but expanding, could be wrong) most of Western Europe has been relying on the US for their military might in the world. Of course it makes us want to push ourselves further away

Army has always been the redheaded step child, first to Royal Navy and then to Royal Navy and Royal Air Force. It never got the Royal prefix afterall.

Sounds about right. Peace dividend has gone to their heads whilst parasitically leaching off the United States.

Could be an odd echo of Royal distaste for the New Model Army in the Restoration, but it's a stupid tradition that Britain needs to cast aside. Not having enough properly equipped boots on the ground has consistently buggered us over for centuries.

It goes further than the Civil War, England has always been a seafaring nation and once Scots joined the United Kingdom, it was the navy that that truly defended the nation (and then the empire), with army being almost an afterthought.

The Royal Navy remains to this day the most important arm of the British Armed Forces, but until our warships can drive onto land, Britain will need boots on the ground. And this is where many an administration has fallen flat on its face in terms of defence.
