Ukraine captured some rare Russian T-80 tank variants near Sumy in Northern Ukraine.

Zelensky knows he is running out of fuel and time to get the Farmers out planting. He is also losing tax revenue and recruits from the millions of refugees fleeing across the border or under Russian occupation. With the Azov Seaports gone, Kherson gone, and Mykolaiv and Odessa blockaded, he can't export his country's goods and the land routes can either carry military supplies or civilian goods to keep the economy functioning, they can't do both. This war is just as much socioeconomic as it is military-political.

But there will be no end, Zelensky lost the chance for a Honorable Peace 2 weeks ago. Russia will go for De Bellatio. Either the UkA gives out or the Ukrainian Economy gives out, whichever goes first, the Russians win by default. Their occupation will not be gentle to any centers of resistance.

City is pro-Russian and Azov ran a reign of terror in it, using civilians as human shields, torturing people, and shooting civilians trying to flee. The regular UkA forces are being shown quarter, Azov is being shown no quarter. Anyone found with Azov identifying marks is arrested and given a summary trial followed by swift execution.

The peer reviewer notes most of these pictures are taken by civilians who are known for jumping on moving Russian Tanks and waving the Ukrainian Flag as a way of resistance which the Russians tolerate. There is no actual indication of capture, and he can only verify 2 as legitimately captured from what he looked at. We also know Russia has towed away large numbers of tanks and vehicles to repair depots and has contracted Ukrainian Farmers to help out, even placing Z marks on them. Hence the failed Molotov attack we all saw weeks ago.

Given the Chieftain has warned that careful editing can change the narrative, Oryx's list is simple unreliable without further vetting and the Unit Logs being opened.

It also tracks with what we hearing vs what we are actually seeing. Javelins and NLAWs were handed out to everyone strong enough to hoist them within UkA, but the Russians are capturing so many of them, that they are even handing them to their own troops and training on them. UkA videos show them using primarily RPG series and Soviet based ATGMs. Then there was the Deep Fake Prank Call on the UK's defense minister in which NLAW was discussed as being a POS.

I don't say this lightly... But you're completely delusional...

The City barely has any people left, and is mostly just rubble at this point, the Russian's are capturing a graveyard that will be nothing but a constant drain on their resources because that level of Rubble is the worst kind of place to have to hold.

My respect for the UkA is high. They stand for something, a leader willing to martyr his country, but they stand for it. I can respect that. It won't save them or their country. And the longer they struggle, the less chance there can be a successful resistance. But that is their choice.

Or maybe they are buying all the Ukrainian/western propaganda and/or are more afraid of all the ex-national battalion thugs within their ranks than they are of the enemy.
IMHO those were disbanded and pushed into the regular army units to act as informal commissars.

Russian eqivalent of the Purple Heart?

That the missing limb for all of them is a leg appears to imply that they were sent into a minefield and stepped on a mine.
 
No worries. Looks like Russia shot down twenty five Ukrainian Aircraft yesterday.



At this rate the Ukrainian Air Force should be completely eliminated by Day Three or Four of the Invasion.

Along with the Ukrainian aircraft losses, apparently another Russian jet was shot down and perhaps previously unreported.
