Russian Invasion of Ukraine 2022

My guess is we might see a 'Eagle Squadron' of foreign volunteer pilots and ground crew

Aren't modern fighter jets 200x more complicated than the relatively simplistic machines of WW2? It's not like any random person with experience flying passenger planes or any random car mechanic can work on those machines. Anyone with the ability and knowledge to actually pilot those jets are probably already employed as a part of a military and probably aren't going to desert to go fight for some crumbling power.

Even transporting those jets is probably an impossible endeavor unless you're a multi-billioniare CEO. Again, the planes aren't relatively simple and can have their wings disassembled like WW2 craft. They're ludicrously complex machines.

So far, there has not been a single tale of Russian tanks surviving Javelins.
When there are plenty of pictures showing they go right through.

Cool, can you share them? Because I haven't seen any videos of Javelins taking out MBTs in this conflict, with or without top meshes, it was all RPGs, N-LAWs and soviet ATGMs

It's kind of hard to find in the West pilots and ground crew, trained in operation of MiG-29 and retraining them takes a lot of time. It's much more likely that if the USA and Poland come to agreement and USA does the aircraft conversion, then the Ukrainian pilots will travel to Germany to pick up aircraft and fly it to Ukraine, probably along some ground crew to prepare the aircraft at takeoff.

Requires permission from every nation along the flight path, and would be Ukrainian fighters launching from a NATO military base.

Really, really, not as simple as just having some pilots show up and fly the planes off.

Hell, if you are willing to go for sheer audacity, you could actually have "unknown individuals" just happen to walk onto a military base, just happen to find a collection of fighters ready to fly, just happen to have those "unknown individuals" be trained to fly those fighters, just happen to have them steal said fighters, and just happen to not be able to intercept them when they just happen to fly to Ukraine.

Shame on those "unknown individuals" for stealing US military hardware. ;)

But realistically, there isn't really a viable path to avoid the political issues involved in NATO provided airplanes taking part in the Ukraine war.

I disagree on it being useless against a tandem Javelin. If the first warhead detonates on the screen, there is a chance it can cause the impact angle to change as well and that can mean the difference between a destroyed tank or a damaged tank or the second and main warhead missing the tank entirely. The Russian have no doubt tested this theory with their own ATGMs.

For a demonstration of those cages being successful, someone would have to be filming at the time the missile arrived. While the times it got through are easy, as the wrecked tank can be photo'd later.

They want fully modernized and top of the line F-16s. Not the ones that have been flown basically to destruction, which is a lot of the US inventory.

Which does not sound at all unreasonable.
F-16's are still in production somewhere, right?

I would be shocked if everything could be arranged in less then a week. With how poor the Biden administration and its military counterpart is? I expect them to waffle for weeks and in the end either do nothing in the way that offends the most groups or somehow bungle the shipment badly enough that the Russians end up with the planes, see Afghanistan for reference.

If they take a week, the Russians will definitely be the ones there to take delivery.

Not to fear everyone, Kamala is going to solve the Ukraine crisis the same way she solved the crisis on the US Southern Border...by ignoring it and probably making it worse.

Another proof, that entire war was made by secret Putin-Biden handlers alliance. If USA wonted peace, they would send anybody but Kamala,if Putin wanted quick victory,he would be in Kiev 10 days ago.
Both sides wont prolonged war.

The video is so cut up I can’t actually make head or tail of it.

The tanks below also doesn’t seems to have any russian marking? Ukrainian use the same equipment as Russian, except for the new stuff.

Funny funny.

It seems I was right about the maturnity hospital being turned into a Azov position after they kicked out the women and hospital staff.

Yeah, because some random ass Russian on Twitter is going to be completely honest and totally not lie about such things, and any similarities to Russia's known history of doing the same damn thing in Syria and Chechnya are totally coincidental and have no bearing on this.

On another note, I have a slightly used bridge in Brooklyn I'm trying to get rid of. It's a real moneymaker, but the upkeep is a bit annoying. I'll give it to you for $500. What do you think?

Well at least we didn't send her to help Kamala out; she recommends a 'no-fly-zone' and shooting down Russian planes, without seeming to get that this is how WW3 could easily start.

The GOP warhawks and neocons may be the death of this nation, if fools like her get their way.

Actually, Reuters did a poll and something like 83% of the country said they wanted one... except the same poll also showed roughly the same number not wanting a direct shooting war with NATO. As Reuters pointed out, it's not clear that the respondents actually understand how a no fly zone works. And Harris being Harris, I am of the opinion she's honestly too stupid to know this either and, as with everything else, didn't pay any attention at briefings where this was explained.

They are asking for F16s. You know, the thing wr have thousands of sitting in the boneyard.
So it wouldn't be hard.
Stripping is gonna be easy.
The transportation from NATO to Ukraone would be the biggest hurdle

It's a *bit* more complicated than that, but yeah. And in the meantime, why not shift USAF planes forward until that's complete? We have the capacity to do it.

Now, I get that Biden is afraid of further escalation, but this is effectively a veto over NATO actions. The Soviets did the same shit *all the fucking time* during the Cold War and the U.S. ignored it. So if Putin's upset about NATO playing by the same rules, fuck him. Because he's almost certainly bluffing...firing on a NATO base would be beyond stupid. If he wants to start shit with NATO, he's going to find out the hard way that yes, NATO is very willing to finish it. And him.

Russian Marines and VDV in action.

As expected, UkA 'victories' are getting closer to Kryvyi Rih

And Novovorntsovka. Expect a river crossing operation at Nikopol in support with likely VDV helicopter assaults to help seal off the Zap-Dnipro escape lines.

North East still remains a series of pocket battles and pinning UkA forces in Kyiv and reducing them to local counter-attacks.

Russian Fleet still hovers ominously over Odessa which is being reinforced heavily. UkA has no good options and is losing the attrition fight decisively. Twitter has no divisions to give them.

UkA AT group, a wide mixture of AT weaponry, but predominantly the ole Soviet Base weaponry.
