This is true.I mean, I don't speak ill of the dead as a matter of habit but...Ukraine gave him a lot of offramps before they fully arrested him.
Poor old Gonzalo didn't exactly help himself...

In other news, apparently Gonzalo Lira (Coach Redpill to the wider internet) has died in Ukrainian custody.
Now keep in mind that this man has "died" before so there's a chance it might just be click bait of a variety. But that aside, as you can imagine, the pro-Russia crowd is already trying to martyr him.
Can you link to sources on any of this?Irony of Ironies. Lira was in a private hospital for pneumonia. Guarded of course. The Russian attacks damaged the hospital and the lack of heat and breathing equipment killed him. They were providing him with western drugs paid for by the American embassy.
Wow! You Americans treat even your Commie traitors well. @Bacle Why?
First I'd heard of those details, source?Irony of Ironies. Lira was in a private hospital for pneumonia. Guarded of course. The Russian attacks damaged the hospital and the lack of heat and breathing equipment killed him. They were providing him with western drugs paid for by the American embassy.

Presuming your information is correct, I'd suppose that neither Ukraine nor America were interested in him dying due to some easily preventable malady and enduring the inevitable accusations of purposely killing him without due process.Wow! You Americans treat even your Commie traitors well. @Bacle Why?
I'm still waiting for confirmation on it. But it's the main counter argument on Telegram and on Twitter jakebroe is an American commentor you might find on Twitter using it. Couple of things are knownFirst I'd heard of those details, source?
Huh, well, make's some sense.I'm still waiting for confirmation on it. But it's the main counter argument on Telegram and on Twitter jakebroe is an American commentor you might find on Twitter using it. Couple of things are known
- He was in hospital for treatment, in the wealthy district as far as public records go.
- The grid went down after the latest attacks.
- The hospital was unable to get power back for a few days
- A lot of patients died
- A few days later his death is announced
People put those together and ran wild with it. Russians claiming assassination and omitting the hospital stay. Ukrainians and Euros claiming just desserts.
He was arrested on a SBU sting in cooperation with your embassy for taking pictures of Ukrainian Air Defense positions and troop movements and trying to sell them to an FSB agent. Or who he thought was FSB and his finances were audited and has been shown to have been paid in the past by known FSB fixers.I've no idea who this dude was but if he was an American citizen and he died in Ukrainian custody it should be a scandal. If it was due to Russian bombs or something that's different, but if it wasn't I don't really give a shit what his views were unless he was a literal Russian agent he's still an American.
That was stupid of him to do.But painting all Trump supporters/MAGA as Russian friendly, as Broe has done, and calling RFK Jr. a Russian agent was a bridge too far.
He was attempting to inform the FSB about various Ukrainian things from AA to locations of troopsI've no idea who this dude was but if he was an American citizen and he died in Ukrainian custody it should be a scandal. If it was due to Russian bombs or something that's different, but if it wasn't I don't really give a shit what his views were unless he was a literal Russian agent he's still an American.
And as I understand he got multiple warnings about from the Ukrainian authorities before they brought the hammer down.He was attempting to inform the FSB about various Ukrainian things from AA to locations of troops
Dude acted as a spy for Russia and tried to sell photo's of UA air defense and troop positions.I've no idea who this dude was but if he was an American citizen and he died in Ukrainian custody it should be a scandal. Musk actually values the US 1st Amendment, and Twitter/X is supposed to be a townhall, not an arm of Ukraine's military. That was stupid of him to do.
I laugh how biased Musk's supposed free speech platform is. I replied to Medvedev's post accusing Ukraine of corruption and murder of Lira. By asking if he thought we were brain addled, with hummingbird attention spans to not remember several of those corrupt politicians he was pointing to were Soviet Russian relics like himself, that Russia pressured Kyiv to keep in government.
My second post mocked Lavrov's lies. I got banned and deleted in 10 minutes. What the hell Elon? Fucking communist loving bastard. Oh well I'm to old to be on social media anyway. Crazy kids
No I meant actually enforce freedom of speech and not favor the CCP and Chinese bastards by banning anyone who disagrees with themDude acted as a spy for Russia and tried to sell photo's of UA air defense and troop positions.
That was the first time he was arrested, and he only got house arrest for it, but kept up with promoting Russian lies about Ukraine, then tried to flee the country when he was told not to.
Ukraine was merciful with him, and his own bad habits and unhealthy life-style mean he was in that hospital when the local grid went down, and he was not the only patient who died because the electricity was cut by a Russian air strike.
The Kremlin helped kill one of it's own agents, it seems.

The US will do many things to help Ukraine, but our 1st Amendment is not going to be sacrificed for any nation's sake.
The Ukraine supporters who keep wanting Musk to basically act as an general in the UA armed forces cyber division, and call him a commie lover and worse for not doing so, only make Ukraine's situation more dicey.
Don't bite the hand that feeds, and Musk/SpaceX has serious concerns about becoming targets for the Kremlin if they violate their own ToS for Twitter/X/Starlink to help Ukraine.
He's not doing that to begin with though, so that's a false premise to start with.No I meant actually enforce freedom of speech and not favor the CCP and Chinese bastards by banning anyone who disagrees with them
Holy shit Bacle are you being reasonable right now? You are saying something I agree with from Lifa being stupid and working for the Russians to defending Musk.Dude acted as a spy for Russia and tried to sell photo's of UA air defense and troop positions.
