GPS in military mode and with a good missile *might* be good enough for destroying bridges. Still you would prefer something with multiple guidance modes working in cooperation.
Glonass in EWAR conditions? Yeah, sure, waste your smart munitions to do light damage to a bridge with near-misses.

The USN was able to hit Thanh Hoa just fine with crude "zeroth generation" joystick-guided AGM-12 Bullpups; the problem was that the Bullpups were just too small.
Sorry, but faith in RUSSIA STRONK is not a valid substitute for basic technical knowledge and common sense.
We do know that in terms of technical capabilities, GLONASS is not that different from GPS, and in at least some ways is less capable and obviously less invested in. By all chance, it's either equal or less capable, even if the differences are minor.
We also know that even certain third world countries can do GPS jamming since over a decade at least, with varying degrees of success.
Add up these two facts.
Why would you think that Ukraine, with years of potential preparation and likely western assistance, can't possibly do that to GLONASS?

Satellite communications are relatively low-powered systems so jamming them is relatively easy. The idea that GLONASS can't be jammed is hence completely ridiculous, especially since its specs are publicly known (most modern off-the-shelf GPS chips are actually hybrid GPS/GLONASS these days).

On the other hand, the thing about GPS / GLONASS guided missiles is that the satellite navigation is typically just used to update/enhance an inertial guidance system. Given that bridges are large, stationary targets, the INS guidance alone should be able to still score hits even with the satellite completely degraded.

Hitting "the bridge" is no issue. The problem is to hit the right part of the bridge with a big explodey thing, especially with larger bridges. Hitting just about anywhere can disrupt traffic, but may well get repaired in days, or even hours. The ideal is to get something Storm Shadow sized and make it hit specific support columns, because if it explodes ~10m away in a general, omnidirectional HE blast it may not bring down that column. It's a perfect job for laser, TV, or something like DSMAC, rather than GNSS\INS, especially if you cheap out on the supporting INS and the GNSS is being jammed.

Likewise, no one cares about the Moscow simping of some random vatnik kek from a NATO country that is even less populated and weaker than the above.
We are not dragging anyone into a confrontation and EU-wide economic ramifications, you and the other armchair crybaby revanchists with no skin in the game are.

During the Vietnam War, North Vietnamese road maintenance teams could often clear and re-open a road within minutes of American air strikes. And they wrote songs about it:

Highly Respected Marine Veteran, Military Expert and International Affairs Commentator Scott Ritter had a frank, honest discussion with the Russian media and public as he talked about his new book which provides some insight into the Russian soul, how Russophobia has infected the West and how much he's come to love Russia.

He later shows some real passion in response to one question as he admits "he went to prison for three years for what he believes in."

I forgot what it was he spent three years in prison for specifically... I do recall it had to do with the Government suppressing his Freedom of Expression. Colonel Ritter undoubtedly hopes he can express himself more freely in Russia I would assume.

Probably freer to express it in Cali, Minnesota, New York and several other 'love is love' blue states where their Soros footsoldier prosecutors would toss the evidence.

Well one of the problems of being a Maverick is that if you don't succeed at whatever profession you are in, you just keep intentionally Maverick'ing for relevancy until you hit the bottom, much like the air to ground missile of the same name.

That doesn't explain the pederasty freedom of expression of his later life though.

Actually freer to express it in certain red states where child molestation becomes totally legal if you bribe the parents to sign off on a sham marriage. The United States is bizarrely stubborn about this particular loophole, and it's actually heavily conservatives who stan for it.

That said, this is off topic except as it goes to Mr. Ritter's moral credibility or lack thereof.

*snerk* Chris Hansen style pedos like Ritter aint looking for commitment, they're looking for what the blue public school system is churning out, kids groomed to expect zero responsibility from anyone.

Love tribble for providing some qt azn wqifus in a thread about politics.

One of the commentators who is a US Veteran is pro Russia, and has been arrested twice for pedophilia
Arrested but somehow never changed despite being fairly loud opposition...

I mean, if you wanna go that route plenty of Dems have been arrested but never charged.
But hey, when it's Pro Russiam shills it is okay
Plenty of Dems that have political cover and the help and money of Soros and the like.

Ritter actually pissed off quite a few of those by going against Biden while that guy was a senator.

And he had pissed off quite a few people in the permanent security state, too.
And it is not like JEH's old workplace didn't use a lot of it's time gathering compromats against rich and prominent people.... :sneaky:

Scott Ritter was arrested and charged for seven counts, of which he was found guilty of six of those seven counts including unlawful contact with a minor, criminal use of a communications facility, corruption of minors, indecent exposure, possessing instruments of crime, and criminal solicitation. Scott Ritter's main defense wasn't denial of the act or that the evidence was fabricated, it was him stating that he "knew" person on the other side wasn't a sixteen year old girl. The Jury Trial was shown the video of Scott Ritter masturbating repeatedly on a webcam to what he thought was a sixteen year old girl. That is why he spent three years in prison for something he believed in. 🦅

Scott Ritter never went against Joe Biden when he was a Senator AFAIK.

Why is it that you insist on knee-jerk responses when people have already posted relevant facts that directly and absolutely refute your claims? Ritter was in fact charged, convicted, and served prison time.
Yep, because US prosecutors are squeaky clean and they don't habitually force people into plea bargains to get convictions....

Pedophilia is a serious offense, so the fact that he is not rotting in jail, or that he wasn't killed there is just more proof that they couldn't make stuff stick.

Sounds like he managed to get entangled with some teen slut with a fake ID or some such shit if you ask me.

Of we are all so morally upright and puritanical then why aren't we going after the pedo crime family that is pushing hard for this e.g. the Bidens?

Well he does have me blocked as he's repeatedly bragged (and solely because of my stance on the Ukraine Conflict). He still frequently responds or quotes me of course, since blocking just means you have to click on a post to see it AFAIK.

The ongoing denial of basic reality clearly helps him with his doublespeak and is likely an excellent example illustrative of his larger worldview and that of folks with similar mindsets.
