if this is true and it was the ukrianians then good for them.
It was a successful strike against a legitiment military target.
I'm not in the habit of interrupting the enemy when he makes mistakes. Like leaving your brand new strike fighter in the open tarmac with no security, long grass and hedgerows with rusted broken down fencing.

Most likely it isn't, it's still more likely that this is just smoke cover for the actual operation and the explosives were actually planted during Baltops 2022, but this story gives all sides a lie they can commonly agree to when the negotiations start. Because if USA starts bragging about how they blew up the pipeline even more openly than Blinken/Nuland did so far, then Putin will have to strike American infrastructure or look weak internally and that's a great way to start a tit for tat that escalates into nukes.
well that and the Ukranians would defiantly love to take credit for it.
I severely doubt this is what actually happened.

Yeah, the problem is that they dragged their feet and then release it after Seymour Hersh released his article.
They've got the boat's transponder data and it seems it checks out; it was all over the area of the pipelines for a bit.
Also way more plausible and understandable for Ukrainian supporters to have blown the pipes as a strike against Russia (and maybe against the Ru agents in Berlin).

So Ukraine now arrests a Ukranian ex military / intelligence fall-guy for independently blowing up the nordstream using a rented sailboat and 6 rando helper dudes. All alone without any support from any government.
They finally admit it was not russia.
The new narrative is that this is definitely NOT anything involving any government and was just a rando citizen.
Also, Ukraine in no way shape or form had the capability of doing this and are blatantly taking the blame for the USA.

Also please note that in my previous post I did not say he did it, I said this is the new narrative of western media. My take is that fake news is lying again and it was done by the USA.
Oh yea, and as a total coincidence the guy is a very outspoken political enemy of Zelensky.

Indeed, it's an internal hoopla in Ukraine, your jump to conclusion that this confirms certain people's pet conspiracy theory that USA did it is just that, a jump, with zero persuasion value to those outside of the club of believers.
That's the Russian media take. Which means it's probably a lie too. Because if they had evidence of it, they would have shown it. Instead they just put it through the western lefty propaganda channel network with no evidence.
And there are several less obvious ways why it could be Russians. As i said originally, it could have been any of at least half a dozen parties, and we may never find out for sure which.

Use your head. That pipeline was a source of both foreign revenue and diplomatic/economic leverage for the Russians. What would they gain by blowing it up?
That pipeline was source of gas cheaper than they could get elsewhere for the Germans. What would they gain from blowing it up?
But for the Americans? Specifically, for the sociopathic globalists of the Biden administration?
By blowing up the pipeline, they deprive Russia of that income and leverage. They also harm the economy of Germany, thereby weakening the whole EU relative to the USA. And they want the EU to be politically and economically subordinate to the USA.
Don't blow smoke about some mystery Russian faction that you have no other evidence of.
