• Attention All Comstar Customers, Due to unexpected interference by suspected Word of Blake operatives, the HPG systems update was *not* successful. No data was lost due to our careful and extensive backups; however, we will need to try again next weekend. Sincerely, Comstar Precentor Dune

As evidenced by their name, Afrikaner, and the language they speak - Afrikaans.
Let me rephrase they consider themselves a people apart from the other Africans. More superior, more intelligent. Or did. Probably less overtly racist now. But there are areas you can't go to if you've got darker skin.

Then again I was a tourist and I might have had the misfortune of having met the local equivalent of the American KKK.

Ok. The world's richest man is still an African American.

I'm afraid that Musk may just destroy himself, or at least large parts of his money. You cannot go against Zeitgeist of the age and win ( https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zeitgeist ).

"Woke" is the current "spirit" of academia, and thus metaphorical spirit of our age.
Most people can't. When you're rhe richest person in the world, perhaps you can. You may lose some money in the process. Exposing the government and big tech collusion can go a really long way at making an actual difference in this country.

Zeitgeists are not invincible. They've been overcome more than once in times gone past.
It is, in fact, inevitable that the existing paradigm is ultimately cast aside. Furthermore, "wokeness" is not the paradigm (or "Zeitgeist", if you will). Wokeness is the latest expression of the paradigm of the current Zeit, and that Zeit ("time", "era") is what is (wrongly and arrogantly) called Modernity.

People are often talking about how we live in "late capitalism", but that's an incorrect interpretation. We're living in late modernity, so to speak. That's why the successive expressions of the governing paradigm if this era are ever more shrill and hysterical. It's like the panic of crazed animals who can smell the fire.

So, sure-- Musk may have doomed himself, because we're not quite at the end yet. The establishment is still firmly in power. But in many ways, he's a counterpart to what Trump was also doing. He's one of the early prominent voices that speak out against the madness of the age. And when that starts happening, you know the end is coming. Even if they kill Musk -- or Trump for that matter -- the problems remain. New prominent opponents to the establishment will rise. More powerful, more numerous.

The wokies, historically speaking, are the modern-day heirs of Jean-Jacques Rousseau and Maximilien de Robespierre (among others of that ilk). Theirs is the "Zeitgeist" of Modernity, and it has been since the late 18th century. But that entire intellectual lineage (which also produced such lunacy as communism) will be completely exterminated before this century is over.

Musk recently asked his followers what they think about the "culture war". Well, this is what I think about it. I think it's larger in scope and duration than Musk probably realises. I think he doesn't fully understand (or accept) his role in it. But, inevitably, he's playing that role anyway. And he's even playing it pretty well.

@Skallagrim covered this pretty well.

I'll only add that "woke" is NOT the spirit of our age. It's simply what's being used to try and separate us and destroy the family completely.

There's so much push back right now, that if media were honest at all, we'd already be having a full blown reformation. As it is, I see that reformation building steam and eventually just blowing up the current media and movers. How those groups step aside (or get pushed) will determine how ugly the reformation gets.

BOT: Musk is simply the largest Hammer working to bring about the reformation currently so he's the biggest target the Corruption must go after.

thirded on that subject.

The end of an age is often a horrible process. But Ironically them being shrill and horrible only hastens their own downfall.
