Communist revolutions follow the same footsteps as other revolutions have in history, no matter the pretext -- that it offers something better than what the people have at the moment.

Communism's false lure is that everyone is equal. That's the appeal.
You are just repeating what you said before now. I already addressed all these points.

The appeal is the revolution part. You roll up to the downtrodden with a bunch of weapons and money and go "lets revolt" you will get yourself an army.
Calling it communism or something else? that is just dressing on top

It also doesn't help that out of control capitalism, as seen in the US, is making this false lure seem more and more sweet and tempting to bite.
USA ceased being a capitalistic nation more than 100 years ago.

in 1913 the USA formed the federal reserve which defined a set of oligarchs who may now print money.
Private citizens printing money and using it to buy the entire economy. This is feudalism, where robber barons steal from the public.

These oligarchs created a depression that in the 1930s FDR exacerbated into the great depression by embracing socialism and creating various methods of socialist wealth redistribution which exist to this day.

The only reason USA hasn't collapsed soon after is that they won WW2 and did so in a way that left them as the only super power on earth. As a result the USA economy was propped by their military might. Compensating for the damage of socialism and feudalism

The points which I addressed.

The appeal is supposed equality. The elites exploit this. Simple.

Few people are as stupid as marx

> We have corrupt govt robber barons
> Kill the corrupt govt
> Replace them with angels
> Give angel govt way more powers by abolishing all citizen rights and centralizing all power and property in the hand of the angels
> Identify angels via them being people who say "I am a communist"

who the fuck can be stupid enough to think the above would work?

He also claimed that in industrial societies only 2 classes exist.
Wage-slaves / Poor
People who own property / Middle Class

By centralizing everything in the hands of the govt, class struggle will finally be abolished as only 1 class will exist. With happy rainbows and sunshine for all.
Extremely stupid

The mantra of "under Communism everyone will be eeeequal" actually appeals to two deep vices in human nature: covetousness and envy.

Wanting to have what other people have, and not wanting anyone to have anything or be anything, better than you.

It should be noted that "communism naturally appeals to the downtrodden" wasn't historically true. Communism, in practice, advocated a super-powerful state, and the workers all knew (from experience) that the state was the instrument of the rich. Regularly, state power was used to crush strikes with a lot of violence.

The notion of a state-glorifying ideology as a solution (correctly!) seemed like fucking lunacy to most workers around the turn of the century. It took communism a lot of effort to find the right talking points to convince workers to join "the cause"; and in the USA, this arguably never worked. Which they only managed to find a way around later on: subverting the intelligentsia, instead of the workers. (They knew this worked, because in Europe, the intelligentsia were the carriers of communism in the first place.)

I re-state: communism does NOT appeal to the workers, or at least not naturally. Communism actively and consciously DECEIVES the workers. Communism actually appeals to a lot of academics and to central planners and other bureaucrats... because it gives them all the power in society.

I mean I have worked plenty of blue collar jobs when I was younger like welding and such around actual workers and none of those guys ever had high opinions of communism when we would discuss that stuff. The only people I ever see promoting it are upper middle class urbanite kids that have probably never experienced a hard days work in their lives.

If you consider what the typical working-class guy/gal wants to be able to say about their workday - regardless of what their actual job is - you'd get something like this: "I showed up. I did some work. I got paid. There were no problems." Is that doable under Communism? No, because someone sitting behind a desk is going to make things difficult for them with their meddling.

This goes double for when they're not on the clock because central planning will invariably fuck things up when allocating and distributing finished goods leading to shortages of stuff they want/need and farcical surplusses of bullshit.

This is my experience as well.

I never met a commie in my Blue collar jobs.

I'm in IT and work I'm an office with a bunch of fellow middle classes and we have people who openly call themselves communists.

I think Communism is most appealing to two types of people: idiots who think it will mean that they get endless free stuff, and malignant narcissists who imagine that it will mean that they get to be in charge and enjoy making life miserable for everyone else.

What is the symbolism of the monochrome with blue stripe flag?
Pro cop?
Thin blue line.

A flag that cops in USA wear that signifies that if you cross their bottom line by killing a cop, the other cops will kill you right back.

Even if you get away and then come and try to peacefully surrender they won't accept it, they will kill you on the spot then plant evidence that you got into (another) shootout with them.

Many civilians also wave that flag as a "support our brave boys in blue" move.
