Meme Thread for Both Posting and Discussing Memes

Secularism is lie, becouse every state made law,and every law is made on some religion.
Christians ,for example, are against slavery, when satanism support it.

And what you name as secularism is simply satanism religion in disguise.
You act as if Christians aren't responsible for global atrocities as well, everyone has done bad shit.
You can disbelieve in god, and hate satanists as well. The degenerate creeps are only going to go away if reasonable religious people and reasonable atheists get along together to remove the rotten bits.

But the same goes for religious people, I'm not too impressed on either field.
Don't blame religion for people being flawed. It's in our nature to commit sin, or act selfishly if you prefer. Religion didn't cause that to happen, though the Catholic Church tried to pretend that it was without blemish or sin. As they say...the cover up is often worse than the crime...though, I'm not sure there can be much worse than abusing children.

I mean don't blame the lack of religion for humans being flawed. You can have a big rulebook saying 'don't kill people plz' without the belief in a deity.

"Trust the Science™ we promise we are right this time!"

Communists: “That wasn’t real Communism!”

Progressives: “That wasn’t real Progressivism!”

Scientists: “That wasn’t real Science!”

Hmm… can’t help noticing a disturbing pattern here.

Some secular dudes, just like some religious people being degenerates.
I don't doubt that religion probably smoothed some behaviors here and there, but secularism isn't the source of modern problems. It's a symptom.
No, Secularism isn't the source of the problem.

Human nature is. Human nature is to be in conflict between being made in God's image, and fallen in sin. Or to use secular terms, to be capable of both good and evil.

The reason secularism is dangerous, is because it allows people to justify that a thing 'isn't really evil.' Once you reject higher moral authority, you get to rewrite the rules however you want.

This can be as petty as a six year old going 'he said something so mean it was okay for me to try to beat him up!'

Or it can be as horrifying as 'My people are the only real people, everyone else must be killed or turned into our slaves.'

You will find, time and again, that whatever immoral behavior that a secularist struggles with, they'll have personally redefined the rules so that it's either 'less bad,' not wrong in the first place, or outright a good thing.

Which is how you get to 'it's child abuse to not castrate and mutilate children who have gender dysphoria.'

Sure, most secularists will try to hold onto the rest of (generally Christian-derived) morality, don't steal, don't cheat, don't murder, etc. But how many people rewriting 'Past grievances mean it's perfectly moral for me to rob stores' do you need to break the economy? How many sterilized children do we need to hit demographic collapse? How many 'it's okay for me to massively disrupt everyone's life to save the environment!' types does it take to ruin people's lives?

I could go on, and on, and on. Secularism removes a lot of the inhibition against being evil, and acts as an accelerant to all of mankind's worst impulses.

Seriously, people, this whole exchange has been going on way too long.

The more you post about it, the more I’m reminded that talking religion on this site is a dumpster fire to stay far away from. If you have to do it, at least keep it in its own “containment thread” instead of hijacking this one. Maybe I could’ve helped by not saying anything, but at least I haven’t derailed or restarted a debate that’s run it’s course, unlike some people who couldn’t help themselves.

No offense, but you’re not a moderator my friend.

Whatever, man.

Can’t enforce anything, but if people here are allowed to directly insult others and tell them they deserve some horrible fate for not agreeing with them, then I’ll gladly point out what a waste of thread space the religious debate is. They wanna’ ignore me, that’s their regrettable choice; just don’t say I didn’t warn you.

You missed my point - secularism is not possible, becouse it is just cover for another religion.

You could not choose between secularism and religion, but religion A and religions B,C,D,etc.

And honest people who belong to diffirent religions could not cooperate - becouse honest Aztecs honestly wanted children tortured&killed for Tlaloc.
Which honest catholics opposed with good effect.
