Yeah….I’ve…well, I’ve got some suspicion about Mr. King.
Eh, I don't think he's sus in that way, but he does dare to venture into territory that is uncomfortable for 99% of people. The "activity" the Losers Club engages in to "cement" bonds is just one of those (it was omitted in the TV/movie adaptations, thank god).

It also doesn't help that, as a person, he's pretty, well, fucked up -- traumas, drugs/medical opiates, alcohol, mental breakdowns; you name it, he's probably had it over his life.

Hell, IIRC he can barely remember writing one book because of how shit-faced he was 24/7.

Guy's a genius. A Lefty genius, but a genius nonetheless.

Fair points

Anyway, another video:

Damn...

Would nitpick the ad-hoc terrorist comparisons, but otherwise, this is pretty on-point!

Given that there was some implication that the message behind the prequels was a call out of Bush's wars, the quick way to summarize the plot is "Bush is behind 9/11, but in space." Which raises interesting questions about if Lucas was a truther.

Cujo.

Which was one of his best. He doesn't remember writing it.

I haven't read any of his recent works because I hear he goes on anti right wing rants now. However, I've read quite a bit of his older stuff and always loved it. The dark tower series was fucking amazing, but the end was weak. The Stand is still one of my favorite books of all time. The end was weak there too.

He's really good at writing suspenseful stuff. He can keep you on rje edge of your seat for 1000 pages. But he is bad at ending books.

My Kaiserreich endgame did sort of that.
Ah Kaiserreich! I see you are a man of culture.

I wish I could play the game but I’ve learned I’m no good at 4x style games. Still, I love the lore and it’s a nice departure from the tired old ‘Nazi Germany wins WW2’. Which is MUCH less plausible then Imperial Germany finding a way to win WW1. Plus Imperial Germany is a much more nuanced (that is, not rabid) and interesting nation.

Yeah as a aspiring writer, sticking the landing is one of the harder parts.

Kaiserredux is better I switched when it gave me more options for puppeting and the like but it gets wacky, in one scenario of KX I had no WW2 for example.

Me, someone who’s never played Kaiserreich:

The story of the baron is a wild ride IRL.

In an older version of Kaiserreich, he ended up leading Mongolia and doing a decent Genghis Khan impersonation on the surrounding countries if memory serves me right. Though in later updates he was remove as part of a process of trimming out some of the more implausible elements.
