Also it depends on where the tattoo is. If you can easily hide it under a short or under a skirt/pants? Shouldn't be a problem.

Basically what I said, yeah.

Myself, I see little point in investing in a tattoo, at all—let alone in a head-to-toe assortment of them—seeing as it'll stop looking good on you once you're old and your skin turns wrinkly. (That, and I've also never been into having those sorts of designs on my skin in the first place, though I don't begrudge those that do, so long as they know what they're doing.)

very subjective how much is too much but I agree head to toe is too much, but I like lots of tattoos on a girl as well.

Of course seeing as I have a lot myself, I probably view it differently than others.

But also it has to be at least somewhat good work, too. And I really dislike face tattoos.

I like good looking art in the form of tattoos, and find it highly attractive. And the girls who get them in large numbers tend to find it attractive in men, too. (When they aren't lesbians lol,) So us tattooed types attract each other, it works out.

Personally, I see tattoos as an expression of some sort of psychological damage. There is a reason why prisoners, other types of crooks etc. get tattooed... basically, tattoos are a form of taking back control over one's own body. Need to tattoo oneself reveals deep-seated insecurities.

Granted, there are exceptions, such as when tattoos are used to show belonging to a group.

I mean, all that went into it for me was "that looks pretty fucking cool."

No different than getting a shirt or pair of shoes or art piece that I think is cool, except the the longevity of it.

It depends on the tattoo. I have seen some that look no better than a child's drawing and some that actually a work of art. Most on a woman look like they just picked a pretty image and went to a crappy tattoo artist to do it. Then there are the ones that have an entire paragraph on their body, yesh. I once spent two hours convincing my sister NOT to get a tattoo cause I knew our parents would have a meltdown. Luckily I did, their reaction when she got a freaking henna convinced her on my point of view.

I did point out in the previous post of mine that it has to be good work.

Very true, it needs to be quality work.

Before getting a tat try henna first for a bit to see how you feel.

What's a henna?

It's a traditional feminine middle eastern form of body-art. It's applied to the surface of skin sort of like a soft glue, and after being left on for a while, stains it for days to a couple weeks, gradually fading away. The stain is a brown color. You can google images of it fairly easily.

Growing up in the middle east, my sisters and their friends sometimes used it. It's often used by arab women for special occassions, or even just because they're feeling fancy that day and have the time/money.

Huh, interesting.

Not very keen on getting one, still, but it sounds a lot more “family-friendly” than the Western tattooing convention, and I wish something like it was more widespread here. After all, the fact it comes off after a few weeks means you don’t have to deal with it for the rest of your life, though on the plus side, you can still have it redone if you like it.
