The Immigration Act of 1924 was an "I've got mine, so fuck you" abomination.

Yes, absolutely! A merit-based scheme with high overall immigration numbers would have been better than a national origins scheme with relatively low overall immigration numbers, in my honest opinion. Even a merit-based scheme that used IQ testing in order to give the poor and uneducated a chance to show their talents and abilities.

Make a plan where anyone whose IQ is 10+ over the national average actually gets PAID to come over.

That is literally me.

At 20, I was reading and cheering on Naomi Klein.
At 30, I realized that while she is correct about basically every problem she identified, what we need is going back to monarchy or at most some version of national anarchism.

That seems like a good idea, actually. It would also prevent regression towards the mean effects from becoming too bad afterwards. I might lower the threshold a little, though: Say, anyone whose IQ is 7.5+ over the national average gets paid to come over. That would make it an exact half of a standard deviation above the national average.

I also think that such people who are already within the country should be encouraged to breed, or to breed more if they have already bred, with financial incentives, of course. The resulting kids can be given up for adoption and it would still count for this. We need more smart people!

I think my biggest take away as Ive gotten older is that all systems eventually corrupt and decay until a point is reached where a reset is needed.

If you're spending the equivalent of a fucking house in something and it gets taken away then you should receive a full refund

Of course, you probably won’t have as much purchasing power as before you paid due to inflation, which — especially nowadays — bites quite hard into your money’s worth over time. Not to mention all the missed alternative purchases or opportunities to invest. :(

Should've been paying attention, then.

Unfortunately, Paul and others like him were up against a heavily funded, institutionally "rooted" media-government complex that has had decades of experience spinning the news and manufacturing public consent, so ultimately, I can't hold his loss against him completely. We'd probably be in better straits if we'd heeded his warnings the first time, though. :(
