The danger is, doing that may allow the bad idea to endure in secret, and return in force at some later date. You have to be certain that they know and accept they're beaten, before entertaining ideas of forgiveness.
That's the thing, the idea being forced into secret is the victory. Every awful thing exists in secret. It being condemned in public is about the most that can be asked, and that crushes the idea in secret as well, as it doesn't propagate well through the generations.

Ideas survive through being shared. If an idea needs to be kept secret, it slowly dies.

You have been paying attention to the GOP right? Snatching defeat from the jaws of victory is their specialty.
That is one of the most frustrating things.

It's like every single time the democrats make absolute fools of themselves and show how evil and corrupt they are they call up one of their embedded rinos and tell them to do something stupid so the media can focus on that instead.

Why do you think I'm warning about it?

The last time the GOP had cultural power you guys got the Patriot act and the War on Iraq out of it. Unless Vivek gets in charge, I expect similar stupidity. He's the only one who knows you need to destroy the institutions of the deep state.

I was watching Vivek talk to Tucker, and I think he's right. This is in line with what you're saying now.

The uniparty is done with Biden. I think he's right that they aren't trying to replace him, though. We have been saying, maybe its Gavin, maybe it's Michelle Obama? No. The uniparty is looking to the Rs right now. They've moved on to Nikki Haley. She's the new uniparty candidate. That's why the media is fawning over her. She's everything they want. Dick Cheney on steroids. Bush era neocon. They want to go back to that dynamic, and Haley is their ticket there.

So yeah if they get their way, we get more war, and things like tying internet accounts to government ID, etc.

If she becomes the candidate, I'll either vote 3rd party or write in Donald Trump. I don't like Trump, but I'm probably going to be voting for him anyways, as he's the least bad option.

But, as Vivek says, I don't think the uniparty is going to let Trump happen.

I mean Trump seems to be attacking those that support him as well
literally don't care. Trump is gonna say shit. that is what he does. he sees Vivek as about as dangerous to his run as Dick Cheney in heels and the other one. Is he wrong to? Yes. I hope Vivek gets a solid second place so Nikki and Ron bow out. probobly won't happen but whatever. Vivek is doing good by not firing back. hope it stays that way. that said as far as Trumpisms go it is pretty mild.

Vivek is setting up for a great 2028 run. Him being insurance against Trump getting the Kennedy treatment or just thrown in prison is good as well. but Neither can really just come out and say that. Trump can't because that would mean he expects to get thrown in prison. Vivek has to say he is in it to win because otherwise his support would dry up.

Admittedly, this isn't dumb by Trump. Vivek's voters would nearly 100% support trump if Vivek left. He's absolutely making Trump less viable as a candidate, it's just that Trump is so incredibly likely to win that the hit doesn't matter much.

I recall the whole falling out between Desantis and Trump sort of starting with a "Ron Desanctamonius" quip on social media. Looking back on it maybe Trump was just slinging shit and Desantis should have done what Vivek's doing instead of taking it the wrong way and blasting his foot off by taking a swing at the king and missing.

He tried that. Most Trump people who seemed to like him, stopped liking him when Trump started attacking him.

It just went further downhill as time went on.

I got turned off on DeSantis after he used that AI-made fake footage to try to attack Trump.

It showed he will openly and unabashedly fake footage, and who knows what else, to push the campaign.

Well, Trump pwned them, Ron Desantis and Ramaswamy look a bit like establishment shills/plants tbh, and Razorfist and Styx agree on that.

Ramaswamy though, might just be angling for a cabinet position, who knows.

That was almost certainly something a campaign staffer did, and not Ron himself.

However, it doesn't speak well of Ron's leadership that such a thing was allowed to happen.

Vivek very much doesn't look like an establishment shill. Him existing and calling out the media constantly further hurts their credibility, and talking about the Great Replacement theory as a minority massively widens the Overton window.

As for DeSantis, he has absolutely no control over his campaign staff, or is intentionally running a dishonest and failing campaign. As an office holder, I think he'd actually be decent (I'd prefer Trump's mystery box and definitely Vivek though), but he simply cannot run a campaign well.

I think he might be going after well known and soft targets like the whole culture war, and he is buddy buddy with a bunch of establishment people and leftoids, like that guy on the left pushing UBI.
I like what he has to say, that does not mean that it is not possible he isn't a spoiler candidate.
TBH he is too close to some of the silicon valley assholes and leftists.

Razorfist and Styx have covered him, and I would trust them.
In any case, he got ridiculed heavily for being Israel first IIRC.

Im not willing to go that far.

They are just not ready for the national stage yet and that isn't a crime it takes time to get to that level.

The thing is, him existing as a candidate does a ton of harm to the establishment. A ton. Look, quite simply, the opposition is not composed of impressive people. They don't have the brains to run a candidate like Vivek, nor the capability to do so without instantly calling the plan racist and shouting down whoever proposed it.

Also, people are much too conspiratorial minded. Most seemingly coordinated systems aren't centrally coordinated, but instead individual actors working on local information. The infiltration of academia is a classic example of this. There was no central planning, just each commie academic teaching communism, pushing for the hiring of commie professors, and helping commie grad students get doctorates.

For a great example of this completely devoid of politics, look at Conway's Game of Life: simple local rules can create complex global behavior.

The only real way to fight it is countering the behavior on the local level. Don't hire communists. Disenfranchise them and treat wokeness as a disqualifying factor.

I don't think Ron was ever that impressive at this point. he just got credit for a Republican supermajority congress in Florida. before then he wasn't talked about at all as a governor or member of the house. now he is ignoring his state during a state of emergency to run for a different office. between his campaign and his PACs he has had $200-$300 million and it is genuinely a question if he will end up in 3rd place in Iowa. where he focused on appealing. NGL if even a quarter of those funds had been put into the general elections in states with single digit differences in voting we would be in a much better place.
