Kyle Rittenhouse Trial Thread

He himself said he wanted to destroy it. So I think it's a whatever moment. Someone wanted to pull the 'look I got one over on Rittenhouse!' in the political sphere.
Where did he say that? If this is the case, it should be made viral so as to kill this "got one over on" effect. Be hilarious if they stopped the destruction of the rifle over it. Seriously, though, it just seems stupid to me. It's almost like suggesting that it's an animal that needs to be put down because it might get a taste for human blood now, like it's a bear or a puma or something.

I remember reading it in multiple places like a month ago, but now all of my searches just come up with the current ruling. He said he wanted the gun back so it could be destroyed. But I can't find an exact quote.

Found one! Kyle Rittenhouse seeks return of AR-15 style rifle used in Kenosha shootings | Kyle Rittenhouse | The Guardian

“Kyle has requested that the firearm be destroyed … there’s nothing to celebrate about that weapon. There isn’t. Kyle has no interest and no want to recover that weapon, and absolutely no interest to sell it or anything.”

Kyle just wants to get rid of it because he knows one side will praise it and one side will use it to demonize.
Well, if he actually was as traumatized by it as he said he was at his trial, it could only serve as a constant reminder of that and I doubt he'd ever go out shooting with it ever again.
I think he also doesn't want the temptation for anyone to try to steal it from him for the fame/infamy.

Getting rid of the gun resolved the whole issue.

Rittenhouse to my knowledge was never political and is only even marginally aware of how crazy things are because fuckers tried to frame him for murder after other fuckers tried to murder him.

So it doesn't surprise me...

Rittenhouse doesn't really have a choice his tribe was picked for him and the only place where he can be remotely safe is with us.

Brother I live in california when the rockys rose all the nuts went to florida and Cali your definition of insanity is vastly differnt then mine.

Hey now, South American immigrant who traveled extensively through that continent spanning mad house and former resident of Florida and the world's UFO-bigfoot sighting capitol 🤣

Our idea of crazy might be rather similar.

Granted I never lived in a place that had "trans trees" walking around trying to cultivate moss on their skin Ala San Fran...soo I might give you that one

Sometimes winning feels horrible this is one of those times.

That rifle belongs to our people. It should not be destroyed.

I understand the sentiment of both sides on this matter tbh. Having lived through something similar I get him wanting nothing to do with it at all and wanting to deny the people who slandered him a chance to put it in like a museum of racism and violence or someshit.

I can also get why the people who crowd funded his defense want the thing preserved because it's a physical example of the silenced and terrorized finally standing up against the eternal deconstructivist.

Ultimately it's his shit he can do what he wills.

Personally I hope he smelts it and has it turned into his first business cards for when he gets his law degree.
