How about that video actually breaking a law in Wisconsin. The lawyer has not passed bar in Wisconsin, and by showing that video, he will almost certainly not be allowed to defend him.

I actually went and looked up that law.

Relevant passage: "(d) Notwithstanding par. (a), a lawyer may make a statement that a reasonable lawyer would believe is required to protect a client from the substantial likelihood of undue prejudicial effect of recent publicity not initiated by the lawyer or the lawyer's client. A statement made pursuant to this paragraph shall be limited to such information as is necessary to mitigate the recent adverse publicity. "

So, yeah. He's not violating the law. He's not making hysterical statements, in fact, going back and watching it again, he's actually exceptionally calm and measured in his delivery.

I honestly do not know why you're so bent out of shape about this, but what you're saying and claiming doesn't seem to have much connection to the reality of the situation.

Edit: For those interested, here's a link to the Wisconsin law: Wisconsin Legislature: SCR Chapter 20

Get ready to wade through an enormous wall of text.

I think he's living in this fantasyland where courts are all professional and unbiased, and nothing but the facts of the case inside the courtroom matter.

If the courts in real life worked like they do on paper, he would be right. The jury would be 100% unbiased and untainted by the news, and he would be judged on the available evidence, and that would be that.

That's not reality, though.

The rest of us are living in the real world where an organized media smear campaign can fuck this kid's life over.

I’m not against PR. I’m not against the idea of winning the public over.

I’m against hyperbolic bullshit that might tick off a jury by making your client into some kind of revolutionary(which will likely get him convicted), instead of a kid who tried to help people who got pulled into a stupid situation, all so the lawyer can grift.

So you say you aren't against PR.

But you also said

Yes...a PR statement.

THIS KID'S ENTIRE FUTURE IS ON THE LINE, AND YOU ARE DOING A PR STATEMENT INSTEAD OF GETTING EVERYTHING PREPARED FOR THE BEST DEFENSE POSSIBLE. THIS IS NOT A GAME. I THINK THIS KID SHOULD GET OFF, BUT IS SEE SHIT LIKE THIS SO THE LAWYER CAN GET FACEBOOK DONATIONS AND A SPEAKING SPOT ON TUCKER CARLSON, AND I WANT TO SLAM MY HEAD INTO A WALL.

This, along with a lot of your other posts make it sound like you're against PR.

Then some of your other posts make it sound like you're just against shitty PR, and that you think this is shitty PR.

So I'll give you a chance to clear up confusion here. Am I correct in saying that you're FOR the PR, but just not in this way, because you think it's bad PR?

If I am wrong, I would appreciate you explaining better so that I know we are on the same page.

If I have summed up your opinion accurately (which I may not have as it seems to be somewhat scattered,) then would you mind telling us what you think proper PR would be? What should the lawyer be saying?

You made an argument earlier that sounded like he shouldn't say anything..so that I can't agree with.. I think it's important to get the word out to the public, but that maybe he could have sent a better and more effective message.

Personally, I think it's best to get the message out ASAP. With a vase this high profile, a lot of jurors will come in already convinced one way or another, and they are prone to giving into public pressure. Fear of cancel culture is a legit thing in 2020. Turning the public around, even just some of them, would be helpful to Kyle's case. I do think they could have released better statements though.

Okay, let me say this. I am against shitty PR. I think that lawyers should be sober when giving statements, and allow friendly, smart influencers (National Review, tucker Carlson, etc.) to make the firebrand case. Meanwhile, the lawyers should stay out of the spotlight, and work on their job, winning the legal case. That will allow both sides of the argument to be handled.

A lawyer should not be fundraising like a loony caller on Rush Limbaugh, which is how these lawyers have acted, and why they should be replaced.

Okay.

See, I think lawyers making statements on behalf of their clients, to push positive PR, is perfectly fine. In this case, probably vitally necessary.

I just don't think what I have seen so far, has really been the best statements. Maybe he should look into hiring someone to run better PR.

He might be stuck with the guy though, because I doubt the kid can afford anyone better; particularly considering how dangerous defending him is likely going to be. Odds are good that the mob is going to find out where his lawyer lives, and try to burn it to the ground; and he probable knew that before he took that case.

Note that his lawyer is the same guy who took on all of the big media companies for Nick Sandmann *and won*, not only in court, but in the court of public opinion. He knows what he's doing.

Also note that he is only part of the legal team, that kid has some top flight legal talent in his corner. The Kenosha prosecutor is probably praying that the Illinois judge denies extradition so he has an excuse to go 'oh well, I tried guys, maybe next time!'.

On the specific issue of fundraising, I don't think that will be a big problem.

Edit: Not endorsing the above fundraiser, just linking to it as evidence. I have not investigated GiveSendGo as a charitable site nor that specific fundraiser, etc.

Just to inform everyone, one of the people Kyle put in the ground was a convicted pedophile and boy rapist.

Joseph Rosenbaum.

That is the man Antifa and the media are lionizing.

I have to say Kyle deserves a medal for this alone.

Man, these riots are giving even the non-black criminals a chance to be able to do crimes out in the open and NOT get anybody resisting or stopping them

Whether it be Law Enforcement, Armed Forces, the victims themselves and other bystanders

I found what he did thanks to the kiwis getting the record.

All those counts in lawspeak is one rape per count?

He was busy. Mouth rape, anal rape among the many he did with his meat sword that includes beating it in front of the children.

I really wonder just how many more dudes with long criminal records, with the most disgusting crimes out in the open, will be lionized by the Far Left in the next few months

Kenosha is a small ass city, knowing what I do about the guy, he's probably seeing this whole thing as his ticket to fame.

No idea if this is authentic, but someone posted on Twitter what they claim is part of Rosenbaum's 2002 Pre-sentence Report:

Disturbing stuff, if you ask me.

I'm not really sure what possessed him to be so handsy or fond of using his dick like that. What gave him the idea to do that?

Maybe my school just didn't had an environment to encourage the crazy degenerate shit.

You mean the kind that punishes people for non-crimes and gives extreme leeway to those who commit actual offenses?
