United States Kenosha Shooter

There is no such thing as easiest case of your life. Especially when you keep doing shit that make a jury less likely to side with you.
The jury is still going to say Kyle is innocent unless there is evidence that he literally went out there to kill, which there isn't. I can tell you from having judges as personal friends (yaught me a lot growing up) a case like this is literally hard to lose. The lawyer is basically trying to prove to the media Kyle is innocent. PR is how one does it. This is like when Nick Sandmann's lawyer was doing the same thing to try and get attention to the case as well, and about how horrible the media was treating him.

You never know how a jury will react. There are actual questions about how this went down, but with a competent and sober defense, he’d likely get off. But by turning this into a circus, you make the whole thing more tenuous. And the job of the lawyer is to convince the jury, not make the media look bad (they do that well enough on their own).

There is also no similarity between this and Sandmann case. That was a Civil suit against the media, so hey, there was a reason to light them up there. This is against a state prosecutor, who likely wants to nail the kid, and is going to do everything in his power to do so. That he hired the Sandmann lawyer just shows how ignorant he is of how this stuff works. The best thing moving forward would be to drop this legal team of hucksters, and go bring in a couple of experienced attorneys who will make the best case possible, and get him off of the worst charges.

"Turning it into a circus?"

This was already turned into a circus by the media.

Like it or not, the court of public opinion plays a large role in life. It holds the actual courts accountable.

By playing smart PR, he is likely helping Kyle's case.

Problem with PR however is getting people to even actually pay attention or acknowledge it

Yes, the media want a scalp. But you know what the best thing to do in this situation would be?

To ignore them.

Because that’s the best way to come off as sober and in control of the situation, and so you are prepared for whatever the prosecution throws at you. That is how the Ferguson cop got off, that’s how George Zimmerman got off. Those guys were attacked by the media too, but their law teams were sober, and both of them are free men. That’s what I want for this kid, and jeopardizing that so the lawyer can make a lot fundraising on Facebook makes that far more unlikely.

In this situation, it is going to be almost impossible to have a non biased jury who hasn't seen this stuff on the news already.

It seems like he's just trying to get the counter narrative out there, since the left wing media has been running the white supremacist murderer narrative.

The jury would most likely be watching the standard news if they do, and do yu know what they will be saying? "Kyle is a Murderer! He went there seeking blood!" and do you know what that can do? Make the jury decide? He is guilty. because everyone has a Bias.

If this Lawyer jeapordizes the case for Kyle, I will personally go and give Kyle 5 grand.
The difference between the Ferguson cop and Zimmerman? They did not happen during a major event that is being covered up by the media. They are making him seem like a murderer when he killed 2 white guys. They tried to call him racist and called the people he killed peaceful protestors.

The time for "let the lawyer focus on the case and not do PR" is over.

Exactly. Running PR is vital at this point. The truth needs to be put out there.

If the media wasn't running a constant smear campaign full of outright lies and slander, in the middle of a mass movement, things would be different.

Do...do you really not remember Zimmerman and Ferguson. The president acted like Zimmerman had shot his own son and South Park killed him on their show. Ferguson was all anyone could talk about in the second half of 2014. Both times, the media went all in on destroying them as evil racists, from ‘white hispanic’ to BLM starting up and getting national coverage. Both times, cooler heads prevailed due to solid reliance on the law and competent defense attorneys.

There really isn’t much difference here to now, except Kyle has a worse case sense he wasn’t on his own property. He was still attacked, and thus has a good self defense case, but he needs a sober law based case. Not jabs from a seat on Tucker Carlson’s show.

It's a different situation and a different movement.

In Ferguson, sure you saw some riots, and some news bent the truth a bit.

What we are seeing now is a nationwide, ongoing movement, 100+ days in. Not some local riots.

It's going to be IMPOSSIBLE to get non biased jurors. Simple as that. The game plan here is to get them and the general public, to see the truth. To bring the bias back into reality. The media hasn't been spinning the truth this time, they've been outright lying.

Not only that, but the jury is going to be under pressure from society and the media and the movement to go a certain way. The truth needs spread, to justify them not going the other way out of fear of their lives being destroyed by cancel culture.

These two situations look similar, but they aren't that similar. The movement and manipulation behind this one is much larger, far more dangerous, and more intense.

An attorney should never care about the general public. That is beyond their realm. And the best place to convince a jury is in the courtroom.

And as for the whole lying about the case...this will happen in Wisconsin. Which saw for several nights before and after this the complete destruction of numerous businesses at the hands of the rioters. Do you really think they will be that unbiased against a kid who was there trying to stop that? Especially since local news has been far more honest about what has gone on?

Were there mass riots that the media is either not covering or saying peaceful protests going on? Were the media claiming these peaceful protests getting attacked and started by white nationists when they are not? The media is so widespread in its lies, any Jurors no matter where they take this trial the Jury will be bias, especially if they only watch CNN and the similar ones. Going on Fox and all the stuff on facebook will help get across the true narrative so jurors will know, and not look at the evidence and go "So...he went there to kill people, why else would he have a gun? That is what I have said. I do not believe the evidence the defense is presenting as the Media has only told me everything else.

So common practice with high profile cases is take them out of state where the least amount of Bias can happen on both sides.

In normal times you'd be right.

You know , could Kyle sue these media people for defamation of character if they keep printing the lies? I mean Sandman won a case, can Kyle?

None of you are going to listen to me. All just the same bull crap. You and the kid are being played by a huckster, and when that kid spends the rest of his life in jail because of a poor defense, All you will say is- “the media made us do it.”

I will go and pay for it to be appealed with a whole other lawyer out of my damn pocket if needed. Because guess fucking what. We are going off what we know best and how the world is going right now. It is up to PR to help the kid.

I am also pretty sure since this man is pretty big (the Lawyer) He has a team of people that can do the case research for him, or double check over his work or vice versa to make sure the case is winnible.

Do you know anything about how law firms work? (I can go and ask my friend who is a business lawyer if I am wrong to clarify for me.)

I'm not sure why, in your mind, taking time to do a 3 minute TV appearance equates to not doing any work on the case. There are lots of minutes in a day.

I m anticipating and hoping for just that.

Yes, I know this lawyer was previously on leave this year for financial impropriety.
