I doubt it was the codes they were trying to pretend Trump had.
Frankly the 'nuclear docs' excuse sounds very, very much like they needed something massive to justify the raid and wanted something nebulous/serious enough they could sell it to the public/gin up support/hurt Trump with.
My bet is the raid was more about planting bugs, and possibly evidence.
