Honestly, it seems entirely reasonable that Trump had secret/top secret documents. A bad idea, but a president having them and taking them? I could definitely see it happening, especially Trump, as politicians do dumb shit with classified documents.

Honestly, they likely have an open and shut case here, legally speaking. Trump had top secret documents. Trump wasn't supposed to have them anymore. Trump is guilty.

The entire problem is the raid, and how they are only raiding one side, and acting in a clearly political manner. On top of this, the way they escalated was just dumb and clearly political. If they wanted to avoid politics, just ask for the documents. And if he refuses (I doubt he would), publicly ask, threatening a raid, so the public knows why. And if he refuses again, then do a raid. That simple.

They've unsealed the warrant.

Edit:
Seems like the FBI wanted any document Trump ever saw as POTUS:

Now do correct me if I'm wrong, and I doubt the judge & FBI particularly care anyway, but isn't the whole point of a warrant to focus the search so you don't just have federal agents turning your house upside down in search of anything that could possibly incriminate you? Like I'm pretty sure the Fourth Amendment has something to say about both 'probable cause' and 'particularity of the search' (ie. it can't just be a vague 'lol grab basically everything from his entire presidency').

TFW this entire botched preemptive coup detat was started by an obese, spiritual cuckold who hates his own ethnic group.

Yep, I believe it. Only a fiasco this stupid...could have an origin so imbecilic.
Well if Trump retakes the WH in 2024 and gets around to firing this idiot's diversity hire successor, hiring some rando who posts historical & 'I love being white' memes on 4chan seems like it'd be a vast improvement over them both. At least the latter won't hate himself and his country, would care a lot more about his archiving job than trying to put his boss in prison, and wouldn't have the bureaucratic knowhow to cause as much damage to the nation as Ferriero just did even if he wanted to.

Sp I think tje issue is what documents he had and if them being declassified for him to take could be deemed as a threat to national security.
They wouldn't be because we all know how Trump was when it came to not letting the enemy one up him.
But just making excuses for possible reasoms

The President has Executive Branch power to declassify anything he wants to, and with his standing order in place nothing at MAL should have been seen as 'classified' any longer for legal purposes.

It does not matter what the current FBI/DoJ deem a security threat about the docs Trump had/has; his standing order was legal when it was given and Biden/the Biden Admin cannot undue that without nuking even more of American legislative and Constitutional foundation.

If you told me a month ago the powers in DC/the Biden Admin would be stupid enough to pull this, I would have laughed it off as too stupid for even them to attempt.

Reality continues to show there is no low the Biden Admin will not sink too.

So does this set the precedent that all politicians/government officals need to be executed or go to jail for having knowledge of classified documents when they no longer have clearance/no longer in the original position in which they gained that knowledge?
