I'll say it again. Holy shit can we calm down on the spending?

We're going to need a LOT of money saved to build and upgrade our refinery to the point that we can make subcompact with a lot of automation. So let's slow down on the dropship buys as we already have an insane number with no where to take them. Nevermind the money needed for the soon to be made Jumpship yards, which will also be in orbit and an insane expense.

QM Note - All Germanium Processing Facilities start at Lvl 1, higher levels require research. All Germanium Processing Facilities increase closest planets GDP by +10% upon completion

Any reason we can't research the higher levels and THEN build the thing? As far as I remember primitive cores don't work with dropships.

Primitive cores work with DropShuttles, which we can retrofit the Velociraptors into.

Not worth it when we'll be retiring them out in a year or two. In that amount of time we wouldn't have enough jumpships for trade nevermind military matters. Nevermind by the time we build Jumpship yards if we have any brains at all we'll have the refineries upgrades to at least standard cores.

So making Primitive core jumpships is just throwing money away, if the Romans want to do that go ahead and sell them those first primitive cores, but using them ourselves and wasting time building jumpships around them that will be obsolete in but a few years is so stupid it's insane.

The thing is we don't need to actually jump out our DropShips. They're not there to travel to other worlds, they're mainly there to kill the things that want to blow up/confiscate our orbitals and enslave our people. We want them to stick around, in order to keep killing the things that attack us. We want our DropShips to all leave on a JumpShip about as much as a medieval town wants their city walls to be able to fly.

Strongly disagree. Even in the short run, the only way to actually succeed against the rival factions is to send our DropShips on the offensive.

There is actually very little purpose to subcompact K-F drives. Standard and compact are the ones worth having.

We also should focus on building Endosteel production facilities in the next turn. Getting the mech base up and running is kind of important as well.

I think the optimum force combination would be 1 part mech, 3 parts vehicles, 5 parts infantry?

How the hell do you think we'll be counter attacking the dracs? As it is we have more assault dropships in our system then most IS powers have around their capital.

I hope we get lam mechs eventually, I feel they would be useful in space engagements with possible boarding actions versus jumpships and stations.
