If they hadn't been around for so long, given how much dumb shit they've shot, I'd assume they were just a couple of dumb bubbas not long for this world.

Well today at around 1400 a Mentally disturbed man wandered onto my property mumbling to himself and blurted out he was gonna get water from my outside water faucet. That is when my defense plan number one kicked in. I immediately got my 9MM pistol and brought it to the ready. I then called both of my Neighbors and gave them a heads up on the situation. Then I contacted the Orangeburg County Sheriffs dept. Alerting them to the situation. Had said crazy person would have tried to break into my home. He would have had a very bad day. By the time the Sheriff's deputies showed up. Mumbling Hobo had already wandered off. It was about 15 minutes for the deputies to arrive. Had I not have a series of preplanned battle plans in place. I might have just panicked and did something stupid.

I'm glad you had a plan that wasn't "shoot first, ask questions later". That never ends well.
I view me using my weapons to take a life as the last resort. If other options are available I always try the first.

That something like that was even offered for sale makes the 10rd magazines I had to settle for during college because the 13rd magazines my sidearm was designed for were illegal in Missouri 20-25yrs ago look sane and reasonable.

I'm pretty sure California would consider the plastic spoon in your car's cupholder which you got as part of a fast-food lunch drive-through order to be "an illegal lethal weapon".Probably designed to be California compliant, which is naturally why California doesn't like it, because they want to get rid of AR-15s entirely rather than just have versions that actually comply their asinine laws.
