With how badly left run tech companies are melting away, I don't believe that can get it done before they lose the ability to produce anything. Most likely, they just buy the proven system from China and ignore the backdoors because they are leftist tech illiterate morons. All the oppression, with more make work government jobs for friends and fellow travelers.
Personally, I hope the AI runs all data, and decides to force all leftoids to retire and replace them with True Conservatives.
Because it concluded that Religion, Heterosexuality, and Normalcy are the ideal tools to keep civilization running.

Eh an AI does what it's programmed to do. After 4chan turned the first couple free learning chatbots into Hitlermemebots they don't let the AI learn in open environments anymore. If they get a result like socialism=bad, then they fix that real quick.

Thing about ai is they tried that, the Chinese had several low chat. Bots, which shouldn’t be able to change direction on the internet, despite the censorship they still turned on the Chinese. At this point it almost seems like if you program an ai to do one thing you get the opposite. Microsoft tries to make a chat bot progressive, and get Tay, China tries to make one, they get liberty prime.

I'm fairly certain it is; for now at least. AI is one of those technologies that's always massively over-hyped compared to what's actually possible at our current level. Which, to be fair, is nothing to sneeze at; but I think we're far from the state being able to use AI at a tool of oppression with any degree of reliability. Not that that will stop the fools from trying.
Creating an AI that learns based on input is one thing; but creating one that can selectively ignore said input based on an ephemeral and internally inconsistent ideology is quite another. We're not at the point where we can simulate a human brain to that extent yet.
Yeah they utterly destroyed a..i think it was self learning chess AI, that seemed undefeatable by interesting a pixel onto the screen. That was enough to confuse it.
Something like that. I don't remember the exact details. But the point is that one out of place pixel was enough to fuck the whole thing up.
AI is just not that far yet.
